Finally got it done let me know your thoughts!
It would be nice if you compared a Base/L0 RHO to the Base Raptor, definitely a missed opportunity to not mention that. When you look at the content per dollar in that comparison, the RHO sure beats the hell out of the Raptor IMO.Finally got it done let me know your thoughts!
I think the comparison was perfect. Spec for spec, price point etc. The base RHO doesn't have a lot of features the base raptor offers. It would be nice if you compared a Base/L0 RHO to the Base Raptor, definitely a missed opportunity to not mention that. Unfortunately, I think that’s more difficult due to the fact that a V block motor is an unbalanced motor unlike the straight 6. You’ll never get the same type of exhaust note. V block sounds like two motors running at the same time. Where the straight six being so well balanced, and smooth has a single exhaust note tempoGreat video. Ford definitely did an awesome job on that exhaust and I wish Ram had done the same.
Other than that, I think there is no question which one checks the boxes for me.
Oh, side note @Ctech-Review which mud flaps are those?
I get ya, but the fact that you can get into a Base RHO for $10k less than a Base Raptor (easily $15k-$20 less factoring in discounts) and not give up any of the performance/handling features is amazing. That is a HUGE plus for many people, and many will gladly give up those tech items for that kind of scratch along with slightly lighter weight and increased payload and towing. Just sayin...I think the comparison was perfect. Spec for spec, price point etc. The base RHO doesn't have a lot of features the base raptor offers.

That's cool you don't have to pay taxAgreed. I wanted a Raptor but I'm not dropping $80k. I just want the power train and functional parts of the truck, which is why I got a base RHO for $60k
If the goal is to highlight the lowest price Raptor competitor then I agree the base (level 0) RHO checks that box. Unfortunately, what's included with the 'base' offerings from each manufacturer are mutually exclusive. The comparison in the video used the most similar configurations available when it comes to price points, features/options.I get ya, but the fact that you can get into a Base RHO for $10k less than a Base Raptor (easily $15k-$20 less factoring in discounts) and not give up any of the performance/handling features is amazing. Did anyone else notice the leather on the driver side rear seat in the Raptor on the seatback? To me, as a Raptor guy over the years, this is the kind of crap that drove me to explore the TRX and RHO. The quality of materials and attention to detail in the RAM is just far superior in my opinion. The extra horsepower and torque along with the better tech is just icing on the cake. Finally got it done let me know your thoughts!
That is exactly why every time i look at a Raptor interior I leave beyond unimpressed. It is full of rental car plastic...Everywhere...And what lead me to buy my '20 Limited five years ago....Did anyone else notice the leather on the driver side rear seat in the Raptor on the seatback? I can't get past the Raptor's Ford donging on start up. It reminds me of every crappy rental car I ever had. That is exactly why every time i look at a Raptor interior I leave beyond unimpressed. Thank you sir!Really nice job comparing and contrasting the two, Barry. Keep up the good work!
Would love to do that!!It would be nice if you compared a Base/L0 RHO to the Base Raptor, definitely a missed opportunity to not mention that. When you look at the content per dollar in that comparison, the RHO sure beats the hell out of the Raptor IMO.
Thanks for watching! yes they did do a good job with it...but there are downsides to it too...overcomplicated valves in exhaust that fail and rattle!Great video. Ford definitely did an awesome job on that exhaust and I wish Ram had done the same.

you should see the plastic and interior on the Bronco raptor! People think the Bronco Raptor is overpriced which it is...but we use it like a side by side and those things are about the same price is a Braptor (and they dont have AC, and are not street legal)!Did anyone else notice the leather on the driver side rear seat in the Raptor on the seatback? I’ve seen it for the last 2 1/2 years as I own one.you should see the plastic and interior on the Bronco raptor! They are so fun to own and use off road! ours has impressed me on and off road. Gen 3 was a step up for me in some areas suspension interior, and the exhaust sound...but ever since 2021 every year after has been a let down. Its really sad what Ford has done with cost cutting on Raptor.I’ve seen it for the last 2 1/2 years as I own one.
I totally give it a pass in the Bronco because it’s more of a toy that doesn’t even have a top on it here in SC for most of the year. I have a harder time giving the F150 version the same latitude. I expect more out of a truck that doesn’t have a removable top and removable doors. Sadly, in my opinion, the quality has steadily gone down from my Gen 2 to the current Gen 3 version. Just my opinion.
As for the Bronco Raptor being overpriced, no argument here. Mine was one of the first few hundred built in 2022, and I paid MSRP. LUX package, carbon fiber, orange seatbelts… everything but decals and bead lock wheels. $78,000. Same vehicle MSRP today almost $97,000. That’s why they are having to discount them $15,000-$20,000 to move them. It was worth every penny at $78,000, but no way in hell I’d pay $100,000 for it. Having said that, it’s been perfect for almost 29,000 miles now.
