Hey all, had the truck a week, love it, and had my phone connected with CarPlay working great. Drove to work CarPlay worked, go to drive home and no CarPlay, phone keeps disconnecting from truck. Apple iPhone 16 pro. Anyone experience this? Or have a solution?

Only thing I can think of is I tried using the WiFi hotspot and something came up saying it would disconnect from CarPlay. But I had my phone disconnect from the WiFi hotspot and forget the hotspot and still no CarPlay. Reset truck screen as well as phone. Notta.

Mine did the same last week. Let it sit overnight, installed iPhone update, reconnected the next morning and back to normal.

No luck for me. Turned off WiFi hot spot, deleted phone from truck, reset truck screen, deleted truck from phone, and re-paired. No go.

👎 Did you check to see if your phone had an update available?

It did. I checked after that happened and updated it last night. No go.

I had this issue with my 23 a while ago, I just kept unpairing my phone, then repairing it. But I think what worked most of the time was searching for the phone from the truck, and connecting that way. Maybe try that? Double check the Trucks software update, the new update just got pushed out supposedly helps CarPlay connectivity.

CarPlay is super finicky when it wants to be with the car, if the wireless doesn’t work try using the wired CarPlay and see if ur phone shows up. That might temporarily fix it. I’d also try giving the car a day or 2 to kinda “reset” the Bluetooth stuff if you can.

I had to remove the phone completely and re do the entire setup, wouldn't connect wirelessly otherwise. Only have had the issue once in the last 4 months.

I think it ping pongs between phone updates and vehicle updates in all modern electronics these days. The Raptor does this every so often and a refresh of the truck or the phone usually does the trick.

There has been atleast one TSB about car play, I can’t remember its number but I know it exists. Yeah that’s what I had to do. The car did it a few times for a month and then it stopped. You probably will have that gremlin come around again, but it won’t be as bad. In my experience atleast and this is my second 5th gen. Just try to keep your phone away from the IOS betas.

One other thing I noticed, idk if this changed in the 25s. But the other USB-C ports in the front are AUX options, so they connect the phone to the infotainment system. It will kick the phone u have wirelessly paired off if you don’t stop it from the prompt.

Update, I deleted phone from truck, truck from phone, renamed my phone, reset uconnect to factory settings and started fresh. Everything works as it should now.

It will for a bit.....but.....it's a CarPlay issue. And not just with this vehicle. I've had issues with several vehicles, several brands and all the same shit with CarPlay. It's an Apple problem.

I had the same thing happen with my 2022 Ram. I created another profile and would switch back and forth when it never connected. It sucked when it didn't connect.
