In his defense there was a company years ago ( maybe still ) that would mill the edge of stock Polaris RZR rims flat drill and tap holes and add a ring. That was on a rim that was NOT for road use and the original rim design had enough metal to do it with.
The company‘s name was Beadlock specialties

I knowwwww it wouldn’t work but to
Confirm I had to ask the experts. If all else fails there’s
