What's new

Calling all SoCal future RHO owners!!!

And watch out for the poop covered sidewalks in SF
SF isn't in SoCal, unless I too missed geography class the day we learned such things ;)

I'd be down, I'm a short 4-5 hour drive and will make any excuse to visit SoCal

Agree, we should test the truck in Anza Borrego, Death Valley or anywhere in the great state of California

I'm dying to. I drove through Ocotillo Wells, Glamis, and so many cool spots on my way to the Hauser Geode beds (which my little 2WD 04 Ranger couldn't make it to). So many beautiful spots down that stretch of highway. I've been here 13 years and didn't realize all those spots were so close.

I recently moved to Southern California from Texas, and it’s incredible how you can see the ocean, mountains, desert, and snow—all within less than 100-mile radius. A capable truck is definitely essential for navigating such diverse geography.

Join socaltrxruns on fb and insta, I hosted trips all over socal and baja. Hoping to get it back going now that there are much more owners than 2021 when I started. Can put together sone joint runs with norcal/socal raptors

I am up in NorCal and would like to join some of those. Be a lot of fun to go on rallys

Lots of good desert up here near Tahoe (Reno more specifically) that’s almost CA! There is a place about 30 mins from me called the Moon Rocks. Really great sandy rollers, whoops, etc. It’s going to be my first outing when the RHO arrives.

Count me in @RADA

We have some amazing spots down here in SoCal! I'll be in Glamis in two weeks, sadly without my RHO

Lot's of Cali fearmongering haters in the building I see :ROFLMAO:

Enjoy Cali
Videos are cute but facts are fun:

2022
TX had 8.2 million registered vehicles to their 29.1 million population and 105,015 vehicles stolen
CA had 35.7 million registered vehicles to their 39.5 million population and 202,685 vehicles stolen

If my abacus holds accurate, TX has a better than 4 to 1 vehicle theft issue over CA.

It's easy to throw stones, but the issue of theft is systemic, and we all live in glass houses

Not trying to be a pain, but:

Only 8.2 M vehicles to 29.1 million people means there's only 1 vehicle per every 3.54 people living in Texas.... ...this sounds off.

The Texas DMV says there's almost 26 million vehicles registered in Texas...

"There are almost 26 million registered vehicles in Texas. Texas has the second highest number of licensed drivers in the United States, with 18.3 million."

No I definitely agree, It happened to me as. Spent months following my truck and others. Law enforcement refused to help. I found my truck multiple times in super remote places, he used military bases quite often to escape. Lived in it for almost 8 months. This time I will be better prepared.

A few months ago, I saw a convoy of TRX and Raptors driving in a line through Irvine, heading south on the I-5. I counted around 12 trucks, many with dirt bikes loaded on them. Hopefully, we can organize a similar gathering in the next 6 to 8 months.

Data on Texas is peculiar for some reason. Keep in mind, that vehicles per people in a given population takes into account children under 16 and the unlicensed elderly and then there are those that don't pay registration, lol. Regardless of data set, the ratio is same or worse in TX than CA. People shit on CA but as I said, the issue is systemic and no place is immune. Canada is struggling with vehicle theft too.

14.2 mil to 7.8 mil according to:

Y'all are always part of the RHO family!

Bystander: "Club?"
US: "Nah, we're family. We're related by vehicles!"
