What are your guys thoughts on ceramic coating the windows. My ceramic guy has 3 different packages:

1 - Paint and Trim
2 - Paint, Trim, and Windows
3 - Paint, Trim, Windows, and Wheels

I don't think I'll bother with the wheels since they are black. Any thoughts on ceramic coating the windows?

All include hand wash, paint correction, clay bar, etc - all the prep work.

Most ceramic/graphene coatings can be applied on everything but the tires.

The owner of the place I go explained buying separate ceramic/graphene products for the windows is a waste of $$$.

Maybe the professional-level coatings are different?

Are you guys talking about the same ceramic that gets applied to the rest of the body? Or separate ceramic window film

Same ceramic product, actually. Just wondering if it really helps keep the glass cleaner as advertised. I guess I'll be the guinea pig!

You CAN do it, and if you are REALLY great at applying ceramic then go for it, if not you'll have to also know how to blend and remove the insane number of streaks that can and do happen. I find it best to apply Rain-X products to windows. You get the exact same result, albeit for less duration but with MUCH easier application.

The detail company I used - outlined the same as above - 3 different Xpel products (for paint, trim and glass) ... and offered 2 packages - paint only, or paint/trim/glass .... the explanation I got on the glass - works like and extended life rainX ... keeping the pollutants from sticking, and allowing water to wash off .... basically meaning little need to even use the wipers. the company I used only had a $400 difference (yes some may question the "only $400) to add trim and glass - so I chose to do it, and happy (there is a good amount of trim on these trucks, which tends to fade or collect crud) .... with the northern salt and crud - Im able to rinse my truck in the garage and use Adams graphene, polish to keep that new (or better than new) look.

side note the detailers said even though it was a new truck - there was a decent amount of oxidation when the did the initial clean prior to ceramic.

I'm ceramic coating the glass (everything) because the water here in the SoCal High Desert is so hard, it clinks when it comes out of the faucet. (I'm only being mildly sarcastic.)

With the 105°+ summer temperatures, hard water pitting/etching of any car part with standing water on it is a real issue out here.

Damn! And I thought the winter salt in the midwest was bad! You guys get this all year long
