Think they're all the same depending on your budget I guess and options.

I know that doesn’t sound right, but it’s mostly true. My understanding:

Only 1 or 2 companies make the imaging hardware…whichever has the best specs at any moment in time will get put into the units being engineered/manufactured at that moment. You tend to pay more for the “latest” version, but the quality differences are actually pretty nominal. The other differences amounts to displays & features. None are gonna catch a hit-n-run driver’s plate# with 100% certainty…too many variables. But when it comes to who is at-fault & people (who stick around) changing their story, it can be invaluable.

I am currently using a BlackVue DR900X-2CH 4K Dual-Channel in a Ford Raptor and previously had a BlackVue DR750S-2CH. I'm planning to get the BlackVue DR970X-2CH Plus 4K UHD for the RHO. Waiting to see what kind of deals pop up for Black Friday or Cyber Monday / week. I've gotten both the previous two and planning to get the new one from blackboxmycar.com. You can check something like knoji.com for discount or coupon codes. The profile is what I really like, in the Raptor it hides really good behind or "in front" of the rear view mirror, most people don't even notice it. Not 100% but it doesn't look like will hide the same in the RHO.

Was absolutely glad I had it when I got clipped by someone merging onto the highway. She didn't use the merge lane and pretty much cut into the side of my truck. The couple said her boyfriend or husband was driving and that I hit them. From the video you can see her look at the truck as she cut into me. 2nd channel or rear camera helped to show other vehicles around and their position after the collision. Fortunately it was just the mirror that hit the passenger side back door and side of the bed. Xpel PPF prevented any paint damage and PDR erased the dents.

The image is reduce in size and I added some blur to her face just to be safe.
