What are we thinking the aftermarket exhaust kits will sound like. It'd be nice to have something that coud make the i6 roar like my old 5.7 but I am doubtful

We barley know what factory sounds like

Like others have said, I'm not giving up hope that the factory cat-back will at least sound decent.

I'm sure there will be an abundance of aftermarket options in time however.

The challenge will be identifying the sweet spot of improving the sound without being too loud/obnoxious, no/minimal drone, quality materials/construction, and price.

There's a youtube video. I think MBRP was testing a few things. It's somewhere on the forum.

I wonder if Banks will come out with an exhaust. Are downpipes a thing in straight six motors?

I think the exhaust note is the only thing wrong with the truck at this point.

Yes, downpipes are a big improvement. I'll be making a 300-cell high flow downpipe within the first month of getting my RHO. I'll be using GESI catalytic converter, so they'll be EPA legal.

You're going to make your own? Wild.

After hearing the stock exhaust I’m not impressed shame they didn’t team up with yamaha😂

Not sure I’ll even be throwing an exhaust on here because it may very likely just be an in between depending on what happens with the TRX due to the godfather of the hellcat being back at the helm. Guess I’ll see what comes to market and the pricing and go from there…

Its not the worst and it's not the best but it is the weak point of the truck, however, I do enjoy the quiet most of the time as well. I think the new TRX is going to be ridiculous if it comes out in the next 3 years, but I imagine it'll MSRP around $125K

if that’s the case I’ll probably just stick with the RHO no way I could justify an extra 50k over what I paid for the RHO

The "Final Edition" TRXs brand new are up around that price now, as long as they have 0 miles. So, I wouldn't be surprised that a newer, improved V8 supercharged with more tech and slightly updated styling would retail around there.

@Nick797 , have you heard the Stainless Works yet on our trucks? In the YT video they sound really good but it’s always a bit different in real life.

Thanks!!

Chris

They Have stuff out for the Ram 1500 Inline 6, I am sure they will try and get a truck in to try and do some testing or develop a new product. I know the midpipe alone on the regular 1500s made a nice change in sound.
