FitcamX dash cam, rear cam and cable hardware kit install - 2025 Ram 1500 Limited

I have been on the waitlist for the new FitcamX for the 2025 Ram 1500 since December. I received notice a couple of weeks ago that they were ready and would start shipping soon. I received mine a couple of days ago and had a chance to get it installed today. I loaded it up with all the options. I have the FitcamX Rear Camera, FitcamX CPL Filter Anti-Glare Circular Polarizing Lenses, and FitcamX Fuse Box Cable Hardwire kit for parking mode. Hardwiring into the fuse box and installing the rear camera added time to the install but worth it. So far, I am happy with the new FitcamX and accessories. The install wasn't bad, it just takes some time to plan, test and route all the wiring. I made a video showing details on all the steps of the install and everything involved in the planning and testing.

Yup this confirms it ill be getting one of these. Sad to say I'm. Not getting the parking mode so I don't risk any more strain on these questionable batteries. Great video!

If you only ordered front you can't add back after. Unless they changed them but previously for people who ordered front only had different computer inside that didn't support extra camera for the rear.

I just got mine with the front and rear camera. Install was quick and easy but connecting to my iPhone is challenging. I think it has to to with car play and the phone wanting to connect to CarPlay via WiFi. I was able to get it to connect to the fit and WiFi and stay connected if I delete my phone from the trucks devices. Software is a bit buggy but I am running Apple beta iOS so that may be the issue. Other then that I think it looks great and has a pretty good playback picture both day and night.

Yes in order to connect must disabled car/apple play. Won't connect otherwise.

Do you need to turn off Bluetooth to work while driving? I noticed it didn't connect to Wifi while driving.

I was having the same problem connecting while my truck was on. Seemed like Uconnect kept trying to take over my phone. When I turned off the truck the app connected to the phone and I was able to view the video. Maybe it is a safety thing so you can't look at your phone while driving.

Bluetooth has to be turned off can't connect with both wifi and BT on like you said Uconnect will interfere. It's ok I don't need to see it on while driving I took the sd card out to clarify is was working and it was clear picture too on that 4k.
