First, I'm not sure where this post fit, but as my house needs a modification for my RHO, this felt appropriate.

My 3 car garage is waaay too short to get a Truck into and I very much do not want to mess with it when I have an RV sized pad of concrete on other side of house. I'm debating on building a wood slat style carport with roman shades and motorizing my RV gate or building a garage over there.

In any event, what size garage door would I need to clear this beast with some room to spare? I'm thinking 9' to account for structure lip but would love to know what you TRX fellers have and how well it works.

My TRX fits into my garage with a 6’-11” high opening (no step-up lip below). It’s tight, but it fits.

I have 8ft garage doors which work well. It would also easily allow for a small lift and 37s. Make sure you go wide though, a single car width is tight.

I'm fortunate to have a 90" garage door height, so I should be able to fit the RHO, even after the 37's go on and the 2" leveling Kit.

Yep. But…you’ll never fit in a standard parking garage with 7’ clearances. If that matters to you.

Very true. Not a huge concern for me as I live in rural NC. But valid point.

Thats definitely food for thought, but after reading all the TRX stolen posts in other forum I'd probably keep my beast out downtown.

@Eighty, Thanks for the pictures. You have a TIGHT FIT. I'm guessing your were tightly clinched while you verified you had clearance. I had a similar fit with Defender 130 in antique parking structure in downtown Pittsburgh (being able to air down is handy though)

Yeah, took about 3 tries (with my wife watching top and both sides) to make sure I didn’t hit anything. But after a few times I figured out all the nuances of getting crammed in there (mostly involves not hitting columns). Now it’s second nature. These things help a lot.
