Has anyone installed one of these?

Two options C1 (reverse light) or C1R+brake (reverse light and brake light).

Curious on feedback and if the C1R+brake requires the additional T-tap.

I have their ss2 installed or something like that. It's like this but double lights on each side. Had to modify bracket to fit on tow hook. Works great with their trailer kit just plug and good to go. Don't have option for flashing break lights so not sure. I wanted to make sure I go with trailer kit because already have only 2 aux switches left so didn't want to run there and also didn't want to tap into any rear lights connections.

Thanks for the info. I had a similar set up as yours on my last truck with Baja designs. I like the plug and play feature of this as well. Did you need to drop the spare to install or was there enough space to get to the trailer connector?

No I did not had to drop the spare. It was a little tight to get factory trailer connector off but managed within few minutes. And the bracket all I had to do was drill bigger hole so it fits factory recovery hooks bolt.

Don't do it ! I tried to transfer the one I had from my old truck. Caused trailer warning lights on the truck. Functionally, the light worked perfectly. But it was annoying seeing the trailer warning lights when there was no trailer attached. I think our trucks are pretty sensitive to any kind of voltage draws, so it sensed the hitch light very minor draw and assumed a trailer was attached.

In the end, I took it off and gave it to a buddy.

I wonder if it's due to having flashing brake lights ? I'm running regular ones for 4 months already and zero errors and truck doesn't even think trailer is connected.

Probably, forgot to mention I had the one with the “flashy” 4th brake light flashing feature

@NEBOYSA Do you have a picture of how your lights are mounted? I tried to mount my diode dynamics plug and play kit with the s2 pods, but I just couldn't get them to mount with the correct orientation of sitting in the middle of the tow hooks. Am I to understand that you mounted yours using one of the 3 tow hook bolts? If so, which one did you use? Thanks for any help you give me and a picture underneath of the bracket mounting/orientation would be awesome!

I didn't mount them inside the tow hook. They are both around spare tire to the side. Originally I had them more towards rear but then flipped the bracket and have them more pushed in by the tire. For some reason prefer having them more pushed in and they still visible if you are about car length behind the truck.

I think if you assemble by instructions the bracket will be going down more towards the ground and pointing towards rear. Mine is flipped so it's up and more towards inside.

So you drilled out the bracket hole to accommodate the tow hook bolt and then mounted the bracket facing in towards the receiver? Do I have that right? I really appreciate your help. The pictures are money!

That's correct towards the spare tire/receiver. There's a hole already there to mount but it won't fit bolt from recovery hook so I took don't remember what size drill bit but when you take that bolt out you can compare it with drill bit. Since the hole already there it was very easy to expand with bigger size drill bit.

Yes grab that bracket and put it next to mounting screw on recovery point and compare to my picture. I'm sure it will give you exact idea how I mounted mine.

I only had this two pictures close so the way they are the close bracket picture is left light and picture of whole light showing is right side.

I installed the ssc1's over the weekend and then removed them. I had the same issue as you. I got the "check trailer wiring" message and a warning light. They worked perfect, and I did drill out the bracket to fit the tow hook bolt. The lights fit perfectly centered just above the tow hook. I may reinstall them and run power from the aux switches, but that's a project for another day.

I tried the hitch reverse light and it didn’t work for me. When going into reverse nothing happened.

Did you use their plug n play harness by chance?
