Pretty impressive increase for not having to open up the PCM!

Hopefully this ends up just being compatible with the RHO's, I'd imagine a slightly smaller power increase because this is on a standard engine If i recall. I reached out & became a dealer in hopes of jumping on that as soon as our trucks arrive.

All they have here is this dyno sheet from a Wagoneer.

But i know with the TRX a lot of major concerns were upgrading performance without a serious trace, I've used JB4 on BMW's in the past and had pretty great experience.

Just figured id drop this here for the guys that don't see the potential of this engine & stuck on the V8 stuff.

I'd like to see the parameters they changed like the duty cycle, timing and how much boost was increased.

Looking at that dyno sheet it says wagonner base line 490.30 hp. That’s not a SO motor.

Just figue

I don't think maxing the injectors out will be much to worry about on a DI setup, in most applications they aren't a thought until quite some number.

I was referencing the 104HP claim as possibly our trucks gaining less then the SO motor in the base 1500. (Wagonner is the only dyno graph they display for the H6).

True, it's the fuel pump that get's pushed before the injectors go. I would still like to see the amount of boost it's pushing now.

What I was trying to bring to your attention is that the dyno graph showing 104 hp gain you posted is for a HO motor not a SO. The only discrepancy would be 510 hp wagoner HO motor versus 540 hp RHO HO motor.

I understand but they are also claiming 104 on the SO Hurricane in the standard 1500. I guess we will find out.

Wouldn’t this torque increase exceed the transmission torque rating as mentioned in another thread?

That's what I thought too

It says can be removed "without a trace" in the features. Is that accurate as far as warranty implications?

Depends on how deep the dealership wants to dig for reason of the issue. While it can be removed without a trace on the ECM, the TCM also records torque values. If they see that the torque was above the OEM output, then they'll have good reason to deny work.

People will run these, let them, that will tell us everything we need to know.

Well yeah, they run them on BMWs. That's how the TCM issue came about. I'm just making people aware that just because you can unplug it for dealership warranty doesn't mean other modules aren't recording.

Times have definitely changed as far as detection goes. I have no issue adding power to platforms that can take it, and even been a test mule on a tune (by a company I trust). I'm not sure about this platform given the boost the HO runs in stock form and the the limitations of the 8HP75 Transmission. A Pure Drivetrain Stage 1 trans/converter upgrade would make me feel better but that is a $6K proposition alone. At the end of the day it is a gamble.....

Yes, I'm aware of those upgrades for the BMW. I got my tune from Cedar Performance here in Dallas and they have a records for there for their runs. (Not sure if they still hold records)

My post wasn't regarding the power output. It was about the JB4 being removed without a trace. The TCM measures torque output and if it's off, then the dealer can dig deeper if they'd like to. The point I'm making is that if you think you can add this piggy back system and cause damage to the engine, the dealer can look at other modules for diagnostics. It's not a unplug and your scot free. Moral of the story is you have to pay to play. Nothing is without consequences.

Agreed. That was really my (rambling) point as well….

It’s possible I missed it, but when I looked at the web site I didn’t see anything recommending or requiring other modifications such as transmission upgrades to prevent failure.
