2025 RAM RHO
I had my initial battery issue (where my truck died the morning after I picked it up), and had to bring the truck in for a new CV axle (boot was torn, I think since the day I bought it), but since then, it has been solid. Today, I started the truck up and immediately got the AEB and BSM alert and said to bring the truck in for service. The error message said to clean the rear sensors, but they are perfectly clean. I wiped them down just to be safe, started the truck again and had the same error messages.

Hoping it clears itself later today. If not, I will likely have to try and find a time to bring it to the dealer yet again. I do love this truck but this will be the third time I have had to bring it in for service, in a little over 2 months of owning (have 1400 miles on it). I know others have had much worse issues so I know it could be worse but this is my only vehicle besides my wife's car, so it does put me in a tough spot when I have to leave my truck there or miss time at work to sit at the dealer because they never seem to have a loaner available. I am really hoping it is not one of these major "module" or wiring issues. As much as I love the truck I might have to move on if it is. I don't want to take the hit (or end up in a lesser ride) but this shit causes me anxiety, not knowing if my truck will start or work. Feeling like it needs to be on a battery tender if I leave it for more than 3 days.

I feel ya. I had a scheduled appt. at the dealership this past Friday and they couldn't accommodate me with a loaner vehicle. Said my issues were more than likely battery related but needed to keep the truck until at least Tuesday, which there's no way I could do...needless to say I was a bit pissed and just walked out of the dealership w/ my truck.

I was under the impression a loaner vehicle was required by Ram if a vehicle was taken to a dealership with a warranty repair. Is that not the case? My dealer usually gives me a pretty crappy car, not at all comparable to the truck I’m bringing in for repair…. But at least I have wheels for the time being.

Do you have an opportunity to visit a different dealer?

I brought that up as well and mentioned I had the Max Care plan which also states up to 10 days of a loaner vehicle and was told, "not a chance I could get a loaner as they didn't have any to give" Load of BS. I was pretty irritated to say the least. I'll try another dealership but not in too much of a hurry right now. I haven't thrown a CEL since turning off the Auto Start/Stop feature everytime I get in to drive, but I shouldn't HAVE to do that.

I know there are other dealers that may be able to accommodate a loaner but they are 30-40min away so not nearly as nice as the dealership that is like 8 minutes away.

So I just got in my car, no errors. Live to fight another day I guess.
Sounds like my exact issue. It would clear, only to return. Got worse & worse over time.

The fix? After tearing the interior apart & replacing modules, which did not fix the issue, a tech found a loose coaxial cable connector from the windshield camera to one of the modules behind the rear seat. Tightened the connector & no more false alerts!

Hope your issue does not return, but if it does…

I wonder if the coax connector is bogus or the person at the factory who is supposed to tighten the connector is not doing it?

If it does happen again I will bring it in and recommend they check connections/grounds first before swapping out modules.

Update: This was NOT a permanent fix.

Damn man, I assume you had the issues pop-up again? WTF is going on with these trucks dude...if it is not the module, or the wiring...it has to be software.

What is your plan? Did you already contact the dealer?
