Panoramic Sunroof - Question for TRX Owners

Hey TRX owners... I see many of us ordered the RHO with a full panoramic sunroof... Coming from a Tesla, I kinda felt it was must! I had a panoramic sunroof on an F150 Lariat and it leaked and was loud, and eventually got squeaky. Raptor forums (I was on there quite a bit because I was considering a Raptor before the RHO was announced) are full of posts about faulty, leaky, noisy panoramic sunroofs. Do we know if the RAM panoramic sunroofs are plagued with the same issues? Just curious.. I am still glad I ordered an RHO with a sunroof =)

Haven't had a problem with mine (2-1/2 years, just over 36k miles). If you read on the 5thGenRams forum, you'll find some reports of exploding sunroofs and/or chattering movement as they open/close. Don't remember offhand if those are on the older DT models (2019-2021) or if they also include the newer ones (2022-2024).
My gut feel, from both personal experience, and from reading the forums every day, is that the sunroof is pretty unproblematic.

I had a 2020 Ram Laramie Night Edition with the Pano Sunroof for three years with over 60K miles and never once had a problem with the pano roof. Used it almost daily and it worked flawlessly. Not to mention, they look awesome and really allow a lot of light into the cab. The only recommendation I would make is to tint the pano. On hot sunny days, you'll either want to close the shade over them or deal with a lot of sunlight coming in. I did a 15% tint on mine and never closed the shade again. I ordered the new RHO with the Pano also. You will LOVE it.

You're good with the Ram, I've had two trx with the pano and they were fine. Not to come of like the brand crap talker but I've owned fords in the past and they always squeak and creek after a while. Sometimes just months after purchase.

Not the same truck model and not a panoramic sunroof, but my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 with 300,000 miles has never had any issues with the sunroof.

Same, hopefully the new ones are as good as the old ones. Never had an issue.

I had TRX and no issues in general, just note that its possible cause cabin to be hot and AC not performing in addition to the noise from surrounding. I didt had this negative experience. With my chevy Tahoe with Pano roof.

Unfortunately almost all orders coming with pano roof. You rarely get trucks without them

I skipped the pano on my RHO, in Texas I never open the sunroof I have, I don't really want an even bigger one yet Ng to cook me when it is 110 outside

I am in florida, in the same boat.. but I get an amazing deal on XPEL ceramic tint.. I own a Tesla with the biggest glass roof of any vehicle.... it is never an issue with the right tint =)

Kind of true but if you never open it then no point losing back seat head room and risking leaks plus if you ever want to add roof rack then you just have a fun prison bar effect over your head.

While ceramic is awesome and really should be the only tint offered anymore it does still allow heat in, just takes longer to penetrate the nano-ceramic barrier.

I had a TRX for 2.5 years without any sunroof issues.

I am in florida, in the same boat.. but I get an amazing deal on XPEL ceramic tint.. I own a Tesla with the biggest glass roof of any vehicle.... it is never an issue with the right tint =)

I run XPEL on my truck and GTO now and I love it, but even with it, the Texas Sun is too much of a PITA.
