So I've seen post of a pause of production in May on the other forums. Has anyone else heard of it or know what may be going on? Retooling? Easing off production?

I’ve only read about 3 plants being haunted in Europe. Unless you are referring to something else. I doubt that would halt production. Hopefully someone else chimes in with better knowledge.

Yes planned SHAP (Sterling Heights Assembly Plant) downtime end of may to first week of June. They announced it a few months ago. Unrelated to business volume or supplier issues, planned downtime, I forget the reason why but if they mention it again I'll try to pay more attention. it was only like 2 weeks I think. This is part of why they reduced the rebates on the 2024 1500s, they got a slow start on 2025s (which was also planned, though not this much) and they knew they had this downtime. Forecasting very low inventory level of Ram 1500s across the board for instock by the time we get to June/July. Everyone thinking that peak-summer rebates are going to skyrocket may be sorely disappointed. not an issue for all of you here with RHO's, this is more about instock 2024 trucks.

Thanks Anthony!!

I know you posted about it in the other forum I just couldn't remember what thread and wanted to share that info here as well.

Need them to do this with Wranglers so I can get a somewhat decent value on my 23 Wrangler

They did that last year from September 14th through October 29th, didn't they? That was different, but same.

Interesting.

Salesperson I am working with called to say just that yesterday, that order bank for RHO has vanished.

Must be the planned downtime mentioned above. I hope it doesn't last too long, or affect discounts in a negative way for me!

Looking forward to beginning the order process for my RHO!

I just talked to a dealer…. They are NOT ordering all the new Rams that they have allocations for…. And they are not alone…. That means once they have the parts they will be excited to produce the RHO’s…… to keep the plant rolling!!!
