So I've seen post of a pause of production in May on the other forums. Has anyone else heard of it or know what may be going on? Retooling? Easing off production?
Yes planned SHAP (Sterling Heights Assembly Plant) downtime end of may to first week of June. They announced it a few months ago. Unrelated to business volume or supplier issues, planned downtime, I forget the reason why but if they mention it again I'll try to pay more attention. it was only like 2 weeks I think. This is part of why they reduced the rebates on the 2024 1500s, they got a slow start on 2025s (which was also planned, though not this much) and they knew they had this downtime. Forecasting very low inventory level of Ram 1500s across the board for instock by the time we get to June/July. Everyone thinking that peak-summer rebates are going to skyrocket may be sorely disappointed. not an issue for all of you here with RHO's, this is more about instock 2024 trucks. So I've seen post of a pause of production in May on the other forums.
