Puddle Lights - a nice touch

I did not know this was even a thing. My grandkids acted as if it was "normal," and they had seen it before on their other grandmother's Lexus and were thus not impressed.

Pfft! I was! I thought, "Wow, that's a nice tough. How cool to have the puddle light shine RAM on the concrete as I walk up to the truck or unlock it. That's just a nice touch. I would say "Cheap thrills," but nothing about this truck is cheap.

Is yours a Level 1? Mine doesn’t do this puddle light

Yeah it's a nice touch. I installed these aftermarket on my 2010 Camaro and now they came from the factory. Full circle.

Yes, mine does have the Level 1 and the tow package/mirrors. I do not know if this applies to regular side mirrors, but I do know they put that down with my tow mirrors.

I have level 0 and mine has them. Pretty sure its standard.

Soooooo……. should I notify the dealer my RHO Level 1 does not have them? Unless it’s a menu option you can enable mine does show RAM when unlocking/approaching. And Yes mine has the tow mirrors.

It is an option in lighting if I recall correctly. Make sure it's on, but yeah if it still isn't working you should take it in

I searched thru the menus last night, tried enabling all of them and nothing….

Hm. Yeah I think it's "greeting lights". Also if you have your dome light setting off (as opposed to on or auto) it disables the puddle lights too.

If you've tried all this it sounds like it's time for a service visit

Hey Everyone, anyone know if we can change the puddle light projection from RAM to RHO, I this would be a nice touch!

The first night my truck arrived, I had them and they went away, couldn’t get them back until I figured out they are tied to the dome light setting. I had turned off the overhead lights when I was playing with stuff. Turned them back on to come on when you open the door one day and presto, puddle lights returned. Hope that helps.

Now that’s think of it, I think I turned mine off. I will play around with that tomorrow once I’m back at the shop. Thanks!
