Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place. In any event, does anyone know if the RAM letters on the tailgate are just applied with two sided foam tape or are they actually fastened with screws? I plan to remove them if it's not going to leave holes or otherwise affect the finish.

I would love to de-badge as well. Following.

There are alignment holes in the tailgate. You probably don’t want to remove it.

But to answer your question fully, they’re just attached with double sided tape. So you can remove the letters fairly easily - but you’d have to do a fair amount of body work to make it a clean tailgate.
The other logos on the tailgate have no alignment holes, so those come off clean.

Sad panda...

Oh boy. Yeah, that's not happening. Thank you for the info. Guess I'll have to live with it. It looks terrible IMHO. Maybe I'll paint match it to tone it down a bit.

With all the black accents on the RHO, the black letters aren't terrible. You can always paint

Just a head-scratcher to me as to why the logo was sized and colored to look like the top of an eye chart. Huge styling miss in my opinion. I was hoping the split tailgate would be an option on the RHO just so I could avoid the gigantic R A M lettering, but no such luck.

Is there any way we could fill in those holes if we remove RAM letters?

If the body shop can make it perfect then I would definitely remove RAM letters. I just saw Denali without GMC emblem and looked very nice and clean, though I guess GM just tape their logo without alignment holes

Someone on the TRX forum did it, although from what I remember it was pretty tricky. It’s very thin aluminum and hard to get right.

Does anyone know how much of the truck body is aluminum? composite, fiberglass? I’m guessing the cab is steel.

Looks like the hood & tailgate are aluminum, front fenders are composite, the rest is steel.
