RHO Leveling Kits

I see Foutz already has parts available for the RHO, duplicates of the TRX upgrades. Has anyone used the front leveling kit in a TRX? With the lighter engine I’m guessing there’s less of a rake, and that’s why the RHO sits higher than the TRX. Just trying to figure out which level kit will actually level the RHO without going to high in the front.

I like rogue’s kit better. Uses spring spacer for 1” - 1.25” of lift , but it comes with an optional tower spacer. Tower spacer is only a quarter inch thick so it does not go beyond the ball joint and CV joint angle tolerance. It gives an additional 1/2” of lift if needed. Too thick of a spring spacer can result in excessive preload giving poor ride quality due to putting the shock piston to far out of intended ride height range depending on internal shock design.

What would this truck need a leveling kit for? Wouldn't it compromise the lift and suspension you're paying a premium for?

Some people don’t like the look of nose-low rake. I’m not one of them, so I’m not going to defend it. I think a fast truck should be a little hunched.
 
If you want to lift the truck beyond the factory height and retain ride quality and weight transfer I would recommend waiting to see what eibach springs releases for the truck, they have some quality spring upgrades for the trx, two different options I believe,no reason to assume they wouldnt release springs for the rho aswell

Honestly just looking at leveling kits to Ofcourse level the truck and secure the space needed for 37s. If I do anything with the suspension I’ll be completely replacing the eibachs with Fox or Kings. Personally not a big fan of eibach.

I could be wrong but I’m guessing what you meant to say was you’re not a fan of the factory equipped Bilstein shocks. Nothing wrong with Bilstein they are one of the best shock manufacturers out there. Every bit as good if not better than other premium brands. If that is what you were implying, I strongly recommend you rethink that. The shock tune is part of all the different driving modes and designed to work with them and unless you plan on stripping the truck down of a lot of other things and taking it out and using it for an actual race truck, I would keep the factory, but if that is what you’re doing by all means go ahead but keep in mind. Bilstein makes an awesome coil over and bypass set up.

Yes, had a misstep after reading about the springs. But, previous big name shops actually cut into the shocks and had the videos up for about 48hrs before bilstein got ahold of them and asked them to take down the videos, because the internals are very poorly made. And no, bilstien isn’t close to King shocks or Fox shocks. Zero competition there. And when those upgrades are done a number of things go with them from the Kinbtech lineup. When you go away from factory, it comes with far more cost and parts to make it correct.
 
Auto manufacturers hold the feet of shock manufactures to a fire to keep prices down. The Fox shocks on the Raptors is not Fox’s best work either. I personally disagree with you. I think Bilstein is better than King and is on par with Fox. Or maybe I should say Fox is on par with Bilstein. Thats just my personal opinion though. We all have our preferences.

In all honesty opinion doesn’t matter here. There are quite literally just better made products than others. The bilstien shocks are not one of them. And yes, the Fox Shocks on the Raptor are far better as well.

If you plan on running 37s it might be a good idea to get a full set of fox or king shocks specifically valved for the extra mass/weight,the factory bilsteins are not

The front fenders on the TRX are cut higher than the rear. I have seen when you add the leveling kit, it makes the truck appear as if it's squatting in the rear even though it's level—an optical illusion. I would wait till you get the truck to decide.
