Just out of curiosity @AnthonyRI how many of these were on your original D1 release? Some? All? None? Just trying to decipher how broken their order system was lol!

Does it put the dealer in a bad spot if I ate the $1000 and re-ordered granite? Debating as that was my strong first choice and I'm still in D anyway.

3 things there:
1) That leaves the dealer stuck with an additional truck to sell, which isn't awesome
2) It will increase the deposit (maybe drastically) on future custom orders, which is super not terrific, especially as that may put some people out of a potential truck
3) It's a dick move.

My 2 cents, but I am also a man of my word. Just the way I was raised.

I agree 100% but I do have to wonder for dealers who only say sold 1-10 trucks if that would really leave them in a tough spot? The reason I say that is if the dealer can't order the RHO right now since they are only sold customer orders I would think they would sell the truck for MSRP + near instantly? Regardless like you I am a man of my word and would never back out on something I agreed to.

Honestly don't see a problem, who is getting hurt. You want a different color that wasn't available. It's your 70-90k truck, should you feel guilty? Come on now!

I am 99% sure the VA dealer on here would look forward to discarded orders as they historically add 10k- 20k to MSRP on the “hottest” vehicles.
Shopped for a Tundra when first out and had 2 on the lot..one 15k markup and other 20k.
I imagine a new RHO, when few to be found would get a premium.
Above not really a criticism of POC
on here at all!! Just noting in the Northern Virginia area sticker adds are a fact of life on the latest and greatest.

On an unrelated note, the Ram e-shop just jumped from 28 yesterday to 39 trucks today being built. I know it lags behind a bit, but it’s progress. Biggest jump yet.

The silver lining. All car/truck retailers are having some serious issues. Nissan is down something like 70%. That's apocalyptic.

The time it costing us is nothing compared to some of the blood letting they are going through. It's going to get ugly. Their management made some pretty horrible decisions. It's going to take several years for them to recover from some of those.

Getting my flame red RHO, level 1, bead locks, etc, 3-4 months later is small potatoes compared to what is going on with 100,000s of them. By the time I get my truck, if I get m truck, there will be a lot fewer of them. Could be a whole lot worse.

I am thinking aloud here, but I wonder at times: what if the delays are caused by Stellantis scrambling to correct issues from other Hurricane powered vehicles?

Like the thermostat failures I’ve read about, for example. Any chance our trucks will have new parts, to avoid big warranty/recall repairs?

That's my thoughts as well. The brand needs some incredible press, along with a more cohesive and broader catalog. No way, they whiff it here on their new top dog.

Looks like all of those were in the first two D1 drops that were shared, so looks like it will be following the release of D1 status that @AnthonyRI has shared with us. Good luck for everyone in D1, bad luck for early order folks like me that still aren't even in D1. It is what it is...

I'm 23 VINs away from the latest truck. So, that means I should theoretically start production mid November.......
