So, am I the only one that thinks these YouTubers ( and what seems to be bots) in the comments are trying to crash cdrj on purpose saying these motors are junk? I’ve heard of very few issues with them but everyone that hasn’t even driven one is telling us how bad they are🧐. I have a good friend that owns a high volume dealership that said he rarely sees one in service ( he sees the diesels all the time) he would definitely tell me the truth. Just seems weird to me … or they are trying to get us not to buy them to get their hemi back? I would imagine our forums ( which are known for only hearing the bad things) flooded with issues but that’s not the case. What are your thought? I for one absolutely love this engine and I’m coming from 6 previous hemis. I don’t think I’d honestly go back 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's all doomscroll clickbait by trolls that need to feed their habits with clicks. People like to rubberneck and like moths to a flame they click click click. Avoid the nonsense and inner peace will be yours...take it!😉

I'm enjoying this way more than my hemis also. Maybe even slightly more than trx I had for 8 months because it is such more relaxed ride over trx.

My brother also been with cjrj for 10 years and get a lot more input from their service department and actually asked the today about this engine and wagoneers. The answer was not many problems with engines but lots of electrical issues but also pointed out it's not just this but jeeps also same issue. Told me dead batteries on jeeps within 2 weeks of arriving at dealer.

Like I said before they become like sports reporters. Throw 100 B's in there to hope one sticks to tell everyone I told you so 🤣

Mis information is in all aspects of our lives now. Gloom and doom is more exciting than reality. People are drawn to the more outrageous. The truth and reality has been trampled by the “ perception is reality BS”

Someone on here coined the phrase "Gloom-Porn"... I think it was @MattH89 ?

But as @D&Sadventure said, mis-information is EVERYWHERE. I was born a skeptic, thankfully.
Journalism is all but gone.
While social media & youtube have opened the barriers to entry making sure we can all get a lot more varying views on all sorts of topics, that's not the result. The algo's push more of what's first or what's exciting than what is accurate or vetted.

This setup is having issues but on YouTube it’s blown out of proportion. People are having electrical issues, people are having cats melt and I myself had the engine on my RHO hydrolock at 50 miles but this is probably 5-8% of people and YouTubers make it sound like it’s 75% ... 5-8% is still a awful number and it shouldn’t be that high but it is exaggerated on YouTube.

Anthony is such a peacemaker/politician. I chat GPT'd to help me read between the lines and it translates loosely to "we need to burn it all down and from the ashes start anew" :ROFLMAO:

I'll piggyback Anthony and say, some of these guys just need a good smack to get their heads back on right ;)

Funny, the OP mentioned problems with the diesels…yet I know at least 3 eco diesel owners (present & former) who LOVED that powertrain. Yes, I believe the 1st and maybe 2nd Gen engines had some weaker components (failures occur after 150K miles)…but they were overall solid, powerful & efficient. And, the Cummins is legendary.

That being said, my RHO has more factory defects than all 30+ new vehicles I have purchased over the last 30+years…combined! And, I have been plagued with a few electrical gremlins that Ram admits can’t be fixed (at this time…waiting on a software patch). Sucks.

Engine problems? Nothing yet (knock on wood). Since programming the tranny to stay in Sport Mode, I have nothing bad to say about its drivability & power. Used Launch Control after a 1200 mile oil change & was surprised at how hard it pulled that 6000+lb vehicle on 100lb per corner tires. It RIPPED! And, I know fast cars.
