Did some searching and couldn't find anyone else with a similar situation. I was a May order, Truck went into production January 6, it was built and since then it has been stuck at inspection stage for 4 weeks. A month since it went into production. Anyone else been stuck at this point? Is it Just a logjam in the ram production line or does it point to a greater issue with the truck needing to be fixed? With most guys stuck at Railyard or body vendor i hadn't seen anyone stuck in inspection. i wonder if the trucks at body vendor and Railyard are holding back the whole process. Any input appreciated.

My brother's truck late November got stuck in paint for 4 weeks. Right before new years they cancelled his order and gave him new order # and new vin.

June order as well still in production status 22 Jan.

My estimated delivery was today, then changed to TBD last night, been stuck in inspection since late December.

You'd want to check with your dealer as their systems are far more accurate and detailed than the novelty that is Ram Tracker.

I feel for you.

Mine was in final inspection 3 weeks then 2 weeks at body vendor. Now ready to ship. However, Tracker shows in production. Aug 7 order date, Jan 17 production start date. Finally ready to ship Mar 5.

Would be interesting to see if there is any correlation between long/mysterious inspection/production times and issues with the truck after delivery. Could mean the truck had some gremlins and they were trouble shooting for a while. Or the ones that blitz through the entire process could have issues that were just missed. Who knows . . .

I had a dealer tell me last week that the option to add the Mopar running boards on orders was grayed out. Maybe there are some intermittent part shortages, especially accessories, that are causing some trucks to sit in "inspection" or pre-shipping while Ram awaits new shipments.

I had to ask my dealer to find some after placing the order. Hopefully they are the correct part. Just waiting on my truck to be delivered.

I know this is kind of hijacking a different thread, but hopefully they didn’t have to bring trucks that were already built back in to flash it with the 98 mph limiter.

that would be very lame. plausible. i rule absolutely nothing out with RAM.

I’m sure there is more to it than just the speed limiter
