Tazer for the RHO

So I had a Tazer on my jeep and I loved it. I reached out to them and they are working on a taser for our RHO. This is going to be able to modify a lot of settings. One that I’m excited about is it will leave the amber daytime running lights on. Can’t wait till it is available.

Yeah i want the amber light, the auto brake hold at stop lights and also the blind spot camera to turn on with turn signal like on the models with the tow mirrors.

The shame of it, is his entire product could be rendered mute and relegated to the trash heaps where so many game genies have gone to die.

We SHOULD push for tazer functionality in one of the million settings we have access to in unconnect, or jailbreak it for easy app mods

I'd rather just download a setting than go shoving stuff in my trucks slot.

my tazer for the JL will only remember its last position used. so if you had it off it will always be off until you change it. the tazer will not eliminate it

Love the idea of amber DRLs, looks amazing on a TRX. I’m wondering how it’d look on the RHO with the extra LEDs inside the lights which I imagine will remain white? Unless they could be disabled? Maybe it’d still look cool but seems like it’d take away from the amber. Thoughts?

The Tazer won't work on a 2025 because the Secure Gateway changed. It blocks non-approved messages from propogating on the CAN bus. The previous method of using a gateway bypass doesn't work on this generation.

They purchased an RHO to make a Tazer for it...are you saying it's not possible?

I'm saying no aftermarket OBD device is able to communicate on the CAN bus to send commands... and certainly not change long coding.... as of right now. That's probably why they have one - to develop a way around the SGW module. This is a discovery period - which may take an unknown amount of time to crack. It's like asking someone how long it will take to solve a complicated puzzle - they have no idea how long. Same goes for reprogramming the factory ECU... might happen next week - might happen in 2 years. So what I'm trying to impress upon you is - it's not for lack of effort.
