2025 Ram RHO POV ride along video lots of exhaust sound under different driving scenarios and drive modes

Nice video.

A comment on pulling that hill without downshifting. I’ve noticed this engine/tranny combo loves to hang in 7th gear even at highway speeds, where my 8 cylinder vehicles with the same ZF transmission would see 8th gear waaaay sooner & more often.

Based on your speed & RPMs, your RHO was in 7th gear before AND during the hill ascent. I’d guess in the vehicles that required a downshift, the vehicle was cruising in a higher gear, which necessitated a downshift when you reached the hill.

As for instant power & no turbo lag, there’s some engineering trickery going on. Ram has done a great job of masking any lag with low gearing & delayed torque converter lockup. Another element that creates the illusion of no turbo lag is quiet turbos…you can barely hear them as they spool up, so you have no point of reference other than “seat of the pants”.

I’ve noticed mine bogs a bit in non-sport mode after the torque converter locks, but then the turbos spool & the power returns (listen carefully & you can hear the turbos spool up, so there is some lag).

100% agree with the smoothness of the I6, though the sound still doesn’t inspire pride…at least not to my ears. I’ve experienced few vehicles that can run from 3500rpm to redline that are as smooth as this Ram. You really have to watch the tach!

Another nice video, will keep living vicariously thru you until my silver one shows up next month! Look forward to the next one.

What’s the flashing light on the steering column?
human eye wont pick it up (not visible to our eyes) but camera/recordings do (kinda like the red waves on the display screen) ... its the sensors for hands-free driving (the truck watching your eyes - making sure you are watching the road)

And is it that visible while driving? It seems like it would be annoying.

Great video love your insights between the Rho and all your past vehicles especially the raptor. Liked and subbed!

Question - how accurate do you think the exhaust notes are in person and microphone in the video? I feel like it sounded a little more raspy in the video compare to mine. I'm close to 1k miles but haven't driven by truck for days now so maybe I'm just forgetting lol
sadly even with multiple Mics I have ran...it still sounds better in person than on Mic!

Good! I was little worried when you said the exhaust notes may have changed after awhile. I also agree, it sounds better in person and I don't think any exhaust videos can truly capture the sound

The end of tomorrows video watch some bonus footage..this is me being very very skeptical on the exhaust note, but my buddy who is a die hard V8 guy (hemi fan) didnt mind sound at all of the RHO!

Btw, I checked today, and my truck just flipped from D to Scheduled. I have been a huge critic of the issues we're all seeing and doing my best to remain patient, so patient I've been saying I will wait to order the 26 model, but shit just got real. I'm in the zone of not sure what to do, very unsettled by all the electronic gremlins and the misfires (very serious IMO). I wonder what, if anything, will change on the 26 models. Maybe nothing. Who knows. Seeing Barry drive his RHO 1300 miles with zero issues gives me peace, but then I see Tim's seat all fucked up, makes me cautious. Then you see people not even make it down the road and their engine blows, like what in the actual FUUUUUCCCCCKKKK.
Very happy for you and the other early orders who seem to be getting picked up. I must be the last one sitting here looking like a jerk in D status. I used to be excited about this truck. Now I am just pissed. @AnthonyRI is great at responding to specific questions and providing his insights here, but guess how many pro-active contacts I have had from MD and my sales rep in the 229 days since my order was placed ...

Another great video, man! Best exhaust samples I’ve heard, yet, and I’ve watched literally every RHO video on YouTube. Keep up the good work. Also, glad to hear the stereo sounds good. The B&O in my Braptor kinda sucks in my opinion.
I always felt my B&O was not all that special in my raptors...but our 23 Tremor SD B&O was way better!

As a general practice, no, we do not send out batch email blasts at an interval to update if nothing has happened. Instead, we focus on ensuring a quick response to inquiries on an as-needed basis. This has been a tough round for factory orders, because many of you have gone a good bout of time without any change, and therefore no emails from the RAM system. However, we are committed to replying to you directly with any inquiry you've got. I think we do a pretty good job of that - much stronger with email, almost as good with voicemail, though I must admit if you call and don't leave a message it is very hard to keep track of. Text is even tough because half the time our outgoing messages get blocked.

In short, our customers who want specific answers are in direct contact with their sales person, or me. If you have a specific challenge with how your communication has been, I'd encourage you to reach out directly. I can't always figure out who an individual is by their forum presence, so lets get together and work it out. I think you've all got my phone number 337-429-2021 and email [email protected]

For those who want to just stay generally informed, without specific answers to their own specific truck - this forum is a great place. Sometimes we get to celebrate others' success of a new truck in the drive way, other times we get a shoulder to lean on LOL. I'd say this group has a lot better signal to noise ratio than the facebook world.

Ya I really like seeing the different menus and features. If my delivery eta is correct I should get my truck two days shy of nine months on order. I should be an expert on features by then watching your videos lol. Also the exhaust sound is 100x better than I expected
haha thats awesome! good luck I hope it happens soon! the exhaust sound is not bad at all!
