This is directed at the early adopters who've had no movement. While those who casually opened orders in the past month or two, those who early-ordered then ordered again, all of whom have either gotten their trucks or see actual progress, we languish in 'WTF'.

Though many don't seem to think a grand down down the drain is a big deal, some of us do. Meanwhile, we're held hostage in the Mark Dodge jail and all because we took action to support Ram, the product and, to some degree, MD, too. I don't know about you but I was initially told 'end of Q3 or sometime in Q4' and I believed that. I knew I needed a new truck by then so the timing was good. Cut to now. No truck, no movement, no idea whether Ram even has my order on its books. MD does but that seems to mean zip.

Given the way this has gone for us, I think a there are two reasonable solutions:

1. Create new orders, for us, and transfer the deposit. MD, you're only going to win IF (big 'if' in my book) you end up with our original order - 10K more in your owners pocket!
2. Refund the deposit so we are free to move forward with a situation where the walk matches the talk.

IMO the dealer has no control over RAM building sequence but do have control over refunding deposit. If you ordered may June July with no movement these deposits should be released in good faith. Feel bad for you guys. I’d be livid.

January would be 9 months.. after 9 months they are supposed return your deposit if you please. Also $1000 is $1000 but you’re able to get a $1000 cash certificate very easily to take a $1000 off the truck cost if that helps.

At this point if your original orderer doesn’t have movement and you ordered in April. You are probably safe to place a second order because you’ll get $1000 back from your original order. I doubt they can build, ship and deliver your truck within a month.

When did you order your vehicle?

April/ May orders should be close anyway to get there deposit back. Have you talked to MD directly? Forum is not part of MD.

My order was placed in June and I just got scheduled yesterday.

I have a May 8th order I gave up on and reordered October 31st, taking delivery this week, May order no movement still. Luckily my dealer was okay placing the order without any deposit twice.

These are the ones that should be able to place a second order deposit-free. You're not getting your truck in 9 months at which point you get the deposit back anyway. Making you officially run down the clock seems to benefit nobody.

My order was Aug2, not as early as many. Still, that hardly matters as I'm being treated the exact same as those who ordered in the spring, all the while orders that showed up so much later are honored.

I get that MD won't bother with either of my suggestions - they've got us. We walk and they have a free grand, we wait and may get a truck. If our order outlives the 9 months, they not only used our money for free, they kept us from buying from anyone else.

At this point, I'd like confirmation that Ram has my order. I emailed Anthony about exactly this and shortly thereafer received a 'form' email he'd obviously created/sent to others with my concerns. How do I know that? Well, because his email didn't answer the single question I asked, namely for proof Ram knows my order exists.

Who was your dealer?

100%. I asked the dealer to cancel the order and apply the deposit to a different order. Looks like they might be willing to do so.

I get that you're frustrated, but what would this proof look like exactly? They issued you a VIN which indicates that it does exist.

Let's go another direction here. Those of you who either made Nov/Dec orders or changes (who've also gotten trucks or seen movement), are any of you Mark Dodge customers?

I didn't realize VIN comes from Ram. If so, that's an answer - thanks!

I'm June too outstanding but no movement for me haha.

Aug 26th order from MD. Truck is in my driveway. Makes no sense.

I wasn’t expecting mine until end of Jan so this actually was a bit of a rush for me to get my ducks in a row.

Not posting this to rub it in or anything, just adding a data point for you.

Something is definitely not right and it is beyond ridiculous they can’t fix this for you guys.

you are fairly new lets have eighty explain it to you
@Eighty
It’s too late in the evening to give a dissertation on VIN decoding lol. But yes, the VIN is assigned by the manufacturer. And all of the letters/numbers mean something specific
All RHO’s will start with 1C6SRFUP. Then a mathematically calculated check digit, then a 2 digit code for the year (SN for MY2025), then a 6-digit serial number.
The serial number is assigned in order that it was received/accepted by the factory. But it does not have anything to do with the build order.
