I know a few people, @genxeration @RHOfan, have had these alerts triggered by the diagnostics system and I'm the next victim. I decided to start a new thread because the other thread was about multiple issues and I wanted to localize it to just these 2 alerts.

Anyways, truck was built 12/18/24 and I have 533 miles on the truck. The CEL is not on. Anyone experience this yet? Any known fixes? Will schedule dealer visit this upcoming week and report back.

Make sure your sensors are clean. Also let the truck sit for a few hours and check again. Most things seem to be fixing themselves after sitting for a bit.

I got this at about 500 miles. Late December with Midwest snow, salt and grime on the road. Cleaned the sensors all around and the alerts disappeared the next time I started the truck.

Ram engineering claimed it was a software fix in January. Now they are pointing a finger at 2 modules, located behind the rear seat. They are currently backordered, as so many of these trucks are experiencing these safety system issues.

BSM, AEB, FCW, LKA, ACC…all linked together by sensors & computers…thinking the push by Carlos T to keep profit in the double digit percentages per vehicle has pushed component suppliers to the brink & lots of janky parts are being installed on these trucks.

Once my truck gets new modules, I’m hoping it’s fixed. I’m not confident at this point in time.

Well I cleaned the truck. There was no visible dirt on the sensors. I'm in FL so it's not like it was salted up either. Just a light dusting of tree pollen if anything.

But that seemed to resolve the issue. Maybe these trucks have TOO much tech...

Totally agree. Too much tech in cars these days. I wish there were options to eliminate some of these "bells and whistles" that for me, are things I don't want, don't plan to use, and are just potential failure points. They have zero upside for me and only potential downsides.

I had this happen to me today after leaving the store. Started the truck and get an alert and lights on dash for automatic emergency braking unavailable. Put it in drive and after a few feet it went away. The front sensor did have a fair amount of pollen built up on it so cleaned that off. See how it goes the next few rides.

Yep my truck is stuck at the dealer for weeks because of these alerts because of a bad ABS module. It’s back ordered with an end of month ETA but it’s been there for weeks. Not happy as you can imagine.

So, recall coming?

Happened to me again today but this time received an audible alert with a visual warning, but went away within 2 seconds and never came back. Since it doesn’t seem to be storing an actual alert on the dash, guessing I only bring it to the dealer if the alert stays on? Front sensor was very clean this time.

My radio volume also randomly doesn’t work lol. Adjust volume up or down (seeing the volume number change) but speakers don’t respond. Have to shut the radio off and back on for it to work.

Have a couple other minor things but nothing to warrant leaving at the dealer for days or weeks. Never had this many glitches on a new vehicle.

I haven’t performed any software updates, potentially give that a shot? How long do software updates take if I’m connected to my home WiFi?

Take it to the dealer, you likely have a defective module that needs to be replaced

But if there’s no active alert on the dash, will they even do anything? Or do they perform testing/pull codes on the control module itself to find issues?

They will see there’s a problem, there is a huge batch of defective modules out there with intermittent communication issues. That’s the exact issue with my truck and it needs a new ABS module

I got this email from my truck on Wednesday morning on the 19th, when I checked my email, while getting ready for work, and the girls for school. Made an appointment at my local RAM.

The errors were gone by the time we left for school. I still let Victorville RAM have the truck to go over.

Barring any unforeseen issues, I should have it back on Tuesday.

Before I made an appointment I wanted to check the fuse box. Found 5-6 fuses not fully seated and when I pressed on them they “clipped” in. One of those fuses wasn’t even connected at all, essentially just hovering above the connectors.

Think I will still have to make an appointment but will see how my drive goes today. Just an observation I wanted to share.

Welp, as I figured that didn’t help LOL.. have an appointment to drop the truck off next Tuesday since that’s the soonest a loaner will be available.

But just an observation on the fuses for everyone..

I've had this happen once or twice as well. A few times the voice for navigation would come on while listening to the radio and all of a sudden the driver side front speaker wasnt playing anything. You could tell a noticeable difference in sound. Once the navigation voice came on again the speaker started working just fine.

Picking her up now.

All errors cleared with no returns. 🥳

I need to take mine in for this and now I am getting a Service Uconnect Box pop up telling me to take it in. To my knowledge everything is working within the all the menus, so not sure what that is from.
