Help needed. I need 6’10” clearance for my RHO and will need to remove the shark antennae from the roof. Does anybody know of a kit to replace it or cover the holes so it doesn’t leak water in the cab?

How tall is the antenna? I was banking on the 6'10" clearance as well

Looks like most of the TRX guys drop the headliner a little, pull the antenna our of the sharkfin, and relocate it behind the 3rd brake light and then plug the roof hole with a sharkfin delete kit on amazon

I don’t have a link for the shark fin delete, but here’s what I did. I adjusted the upper travel limit on my garage door lot go as high as physically possible. My truck (6’-10 1/2”) now clears the opening by ~1/2”. I even considered putting weight in the bed if it wouldn’t make it, because I refuse to leave my truck out overnight.

If I'm going to go to the effort of tossing blocks in bed to drop it, I might as well just park it out over night with a ship anchor bolted to it....LMAO

Seriously, I love the creativity :)

I'm in the camp that no number of modifications are getting it in my garage. Gonna start building a carport over my RV pad and just motorize my gate...or find an anchor.

So the overall height to the top of the antenna is 6'10.5" or less?

The TRX is 81.9" per specs. Mine measures 82.5" to the top of the Rambar. Can't speak for the RHO, though. I thought I saw the spec for the RHO which showed 81.9" also. But I'd get a real-world measurement before zooming into a parking garage that lists 6'10" clearance.
I personally don't even try to enter garages with anything less than 7'-0" posted clearance.

That's the question I have asked everyone on here who posts they took delivery on their truck to measure - and I am 0/6 on responses.
When I get mine back tonight I will do my best to measure for you.

Hi there and thank you! I was able to pull mine in to my garage no problem. With the antenna location in the back of the cab, the front lifts onto the garage floor sooner than the back and gives even more clearance

My Sierra 1500 AT4's shark antenna was in the front by the windshield and it had much LESS clearance than this RHO. A level kit and 37's would pose no threats to the height

What is your garage door height? Tx

Mine will be very tight fit, and I’m planning to remove the trim piece on the header if needed rather than mod the truck. I wonder if I could even replace the 2” header with a 1” header. How much would that affect structural support?
