Okay. I’m one of the ones with two trips to dealer. Had it towed in the first time. Replaced batteries. 3 days later. Dead again. Took it back last Tuesday. I picked it up Saturday morning and it’s been good so far.

Service writer states they had harness routed incorrectly. Re-routed and then let it sit for few days and few short trips. All good as of today.

Waiting for him to email RO. But here’s the image they texted me. I’m fairly tech savvy and it doesn’t make sense to me how a bundle of wires going over or under another would create an electrical draw but I’m no engineer.

I checked location on app multiple times a day to attempt or duplicate it being an app issue. Hasn’t seem to affect it.

Techs words: “Found that harness had been improperly routed over the top of those pink wires, moved it underneath where it should be. That should take care of the electrical side of things…..I’m looking deeper into the misfires…. I’m going to need to let it sit over the weekend to verify that harness being moved fixed the no start….”

Have faith fam. We’re in warranty. Buy the extended for piece of mind after factory.

That makes no sense…

Is this the wire harness that was talked about months ago that was short? Unless being over the top pulls on pins in connection so it makes shitty contact? Idk... maybe this truck works on PFM ( Pure Fn Magic)...

I've worked with master electrician Dad enough to know that makes very little sense, but we'll go with it...

Glad they got the Flux Capacitor, Fluxing...

I worked on aircraft electronics in the Navy that pulled alot of Gs would have wiring issues... Anyone know how many Gs are being pulled on this 4 wheel wonders?

Maybe they spilled some Chernobly (nitrotriminium) on the crossover housing.

I'm almost getting scared to open the hood when I get mine... Magic, Chernobly, and wires routed cross sideways is a recipe for disaster

As a mechanical engineer with minor in electrical engineering I have no clue how this would cause a drain unless there is more to this like loose wires, improperly terminated wires or maybe just f’in black voodoo magic. Lol.

They use the wiring harness from a TRX

Clearly they used a wiring harness from the TRX so it's spirit is angry, you can see TRX near the bar code on the second pic.

Did not say that! It doesn’t bode well for our transfer cases. Have you seen the rear crossmember?

It is kind of comical that they couldn't even modify so many of the TRX parts on these trucks that literally say 'TRX' on them to say 'RHO' or even just nothing. And we're surprised about the electrical gremlins?! 🤦‍♂️

I agree!

But it does show the degree of passion that existed among the designers when TRX was created. For that reason alone, I’m proud to have that crossmember on my RHO. Hopefully, they will return to that passion someday.

seems odd, but hopefully thats it! is that behind the headlight?

They likely didn't anticipate the RHO to exist in 2020-21 when they were designing and making the molds for all the cast parts on the TRX. It is extremely expensive to remake molds, especially just to change three letters on it, not worth it at all. My buddies machining company makes molds for the big three and each one takes months to make and is millions of dollars. They likely had a heap of TRX parts laying around in 23/2024 with the death of the hellcat and a new epa friendly engine (hurricane) so why not mate the two and use up all the TRX parts laying around that would have been scrap, hence all the TRX harnesses and parts. i speculate the issue lies when you try to mate new electronics and motor with a chassis that has been in use for 4 years, i think that's where all the electrical gremlins are coming from.

I respect your opinion, but to me that just reinforces that Ram half-assed some things on the RHO and we're paying the price and making excuses for them. Making a non-structural and non-dimensional change to a part mold to remove three letters is child's play and not millions of dollars. Hell, some of the parts would just need a different new damn sticker! Any electrical related problems should have been easy to prevent using HIL simulations, especially to an existing platform like the TRX. I'm in construction/manufacturing and I am in shock at the lackadaisical way that these trucks seem to be cobbled together. Still excited to get mine, but also a bit concerned by the dead batteries, melted cats, and electrical codes triggering all of the place.

i agree on electrical components for sure. if you are in manufacturing im sure know how a mold is made and changing 3 letters is not a simple thing, requires a whole new mold made. My guys make them all the time at my company. Look up how casting molds are machined and made. It would cost millions to retool the facility for the TRX to RHO letter change for just one component, thats why. They could machine off the letters after its molded but adds a huge MFG cost and looks like shit. Honestly, should just have new molds made since they are a billion dollar company. 99% of rho owners will never know their is TRX written on select components so ram doesnt care. at the end of the day, i agree its lazy of ram and RAm is lame. LOl cheers gents

Its about cost control. As an engineer I completely understand making multi-use parts across platforms. Fewer unique parts = lower cost. etc. Its saves them money which should pass to the consumer by decreased MSRP but........questionable. LOL
