Your license plate is supposed to go on the back in that rectangular plastic bit.

I have a Disabled Veteran plate. DV plates in CA stay with the veteran for as long as they drive or live in CA.

The dealer had to give me a temporary plate while the state plays catch-up with transferring the plate/paperwork to the RHO. My local DMV says it can take 30 to 60 days for the state to figure it out...

Plus, that's my front plate. I'm waiting for as long as possible to put it on.
