Dash Cams

Looks good. Which model did you get? Can you share some hardware/install pics?

I wil take pics when I get back into town. I had a local dash cam guy install it for me. He tapped into the fuse box under the steering wheel and the install looks like it was from factory. LTE allows you to check on the truck wherever you’re at and not just when you are in the truck. It’s all cloud based.

My BlackVue has great quality. I love having access to it wherever I’m at. The main reason I chose this over Viofo.
Yeah I think where everyone points out the difference between others and the starvis 2 Sony sensors in the VIOFO is identifying license plates and night vision capability. I like the look of the blackvue better without the screen.

I think I am interested in just the front camera. Has anyone used the Fitcamx that is designed to fit and wired on the factory mirror? Looks like the cleanest install yet.

I had fitcam on my previous 2 rams and most likely will get one for rho. A lot of people have image issues with them especially reading license plate but from my testing it was fine. I talked with fitcam about 1 months ago about estimate release and they told me about 2 months away. So at minimum will have to wait one more month for it.

My previous two cameras were viofo and unfortunately had bad luck with them but having issues within 6-12 months and that's only reason I gave up on them. Fitcam x same camera system served me for just over 4 years and still sold it for $180 front and rear.

Thanks.

For the already released Fitcam (figment B) not work with the RHO?

So what is the best and reliable front and rear LTE/wifi dash cam available on the market today regardless of price? Top 3 and why?

I know we have a dash cam thread from prehistoric times here, (it's gotta be like two months old, or older! 🤣 ), but I'm too tired and lazy to find it.

Can someone link their choice(s) for a high-end multi-camera system?

I had a :poop: for brains in an F350 run a red light this morning and missed T-Boning me by sheer luck or divine intervention. Really glad this truck can get on it when necessary.
Red-Light-Runners in my area are like cockroaches in a dirty restaurant. They're everywhere.

I am not waiting for FitCamX to get with the RHO program.

Thanks.
FitCamX just dropped for the 2025's

I don't have the answer to your question and I'm curious to hear what people here say, but I've been considering one for a year or so now and I'll tell you that on the GT500 forum, there are a lot of guys there gaga over the BlackVue cameras. They rave about the features and image quality. It sounds like you can view live video when away from the vehicle. They're pricey, but I haven't read anything negative about them other than that.

yep, I mentioned this earlier. I love the LTE/cloud capability and being able to view from anywhere in the world. One thing though, you do need to buy the battery pack so when in parking mode, you don't drain the main battery.

Good to know. I was wondering if that was really necessary. That's a pretty expensive battery.
