Did I set a record?

Same issues for me! Although, my service department told me all my sensor issues was due to a faulty engine oil sensor. Which is on back order so we will see if that’s really the fix.

These vehicles are so complex. It makes little sense that an engine oil sensor would disrupt blind spot monitoring and forward collision/automatic braking systems, but I’ve seen stranger things.

Keep us in the loop.

Will do. I didn’t really buy that either. I feel like they will fix that and the electrical bullshit will continue. I’m losing faith every day lol

Me too.

BTW, by faulty “engine oil sensor”…do they mean the engine oil level sensor?

That would be a fine pickle…a widely faulty oil level sensor in an engine with no dipstick!

Not that it matters…I’m guessing 90% of RHO owners don’t know how to spot check their engine oil level, like after an oil change or before a long trip. Hey, it’s NOT in the printed manual. And, the procedure is not exactly intuitive.

I know…totally boring stuff, until your engine starts to rattle & shake due to oil starvation.

@Cautionary Tale I know you did some in-depth charging/optimize measurements in one of the other posts ... and you mentioned reminding us, to charge/optimize both batteries ... im assuming with both batteries connected, when engine running, the alternator charges both batteries as needed ? (or does it only charge the main battery and the small battery may need independent maintenance ?)

I used a battery charger with vehicle off, but battery still connected and multimeter to verify the charged results were within spec. Did this first to the main battery and then to AUX battery. Main battery took voltage better than the AUX but vehicle has maintained steady voltage since. Prior to using the charger I saw the voltages swing drastically while driving for no apparent reason, and the only thought I had was that it was a result of sitting for a month. It could also be why the AUX battery has been more stubborn to take a proper charge. After I get my body work completed and fluids changed I plan to pick up a new AUX battery and rebuild the factory one to see what it does and have another battery for comparison. I emailed Odyssey batteries and gave them the specs for our batteries and am awaiting a response for what in their line they would recommend.

BTW, I called my service writer to follow-up on the software patch for the safety system faults. I mentioned a forum member was told these faults were related to an engine oil sensor.

He thought about it for a second & said “I can see that.” Really?

After reading about employees smearing poop on the bathroom walls at the Kokomo engine plant (no, they don’t build RHO engines), I can see that it’s not just us who are becoming frustrated with Stellantis.

Saw this this morning on Facebook. There's really a subhuman element walking amongst us and it's sickening.

Just in case anyone has a similar experience - this appears to be just related to dirty sensors or who knows what.

When the truck was delivered on the initial startup to back it off the hauler I had a CEL and a brake service warning. After two power cycles that day, both went away and have not returned.

Hopefully can save someone a little worry if they get this on theirs.
