Anybody move from a newer cummins to the RHO yet? I’ll be leaving behind a 22 Ram 2500. Hoping I won’t miss the diesel. I don’t tow much just love the feel of the engine and size of the truck. Curious if the RHO drive like these bigger trucks or more like the 1500.

I've never had a 2500 or a diesel, but I'm coming from a 1500 Rebel (2020, 5.7L V8). Drives basically the same, just 8 inches wider! The twin turbo engine is sweet!!

If you are looking to tow the RHO will be better than the hemi but no way near a diesel. Apples and oranges IMO. I hate the diesel during winter months and always take the Durango vs F450. Gas motors are so much easier to live with day to day, but again. Need to do work or tow you just can't compare, and anyone that says my gas motor can tow like a diesel has never owned a diesel. LMAO

I’ve owned a 2500 CTD 4x4…’05. It was a 610 version, if I recall correctly.

And no, this I6 TT feels and sounds completely different. If you’ve ever driven a Honda Accord with VTEC, but a V6…that’s a closer comparison in sound & feel. And no, I’m not joking.

That being said, the I6 TT is vibration-free & loves to run from 3500 RPM to its 5750 redline. But, it’s not really peaky, just a bit sluggish off idle until 2300-2400 RPM, when the turbos start building usable boost & torque.

Best of all worlds to me would be the latest V8 Duramax in an RHO chassis. But, I’m a diesel fan, so we are a minority in the current age.

I only tow a side-by-side no more than a few thousand pounds. I think it will tow that fine. I’m just hoping I don’t miss the feel of the torque size of it and, my favorite, the sound of a diesel engine. Definitely won't miss all my DEF issues. Ive looked specs and looks like its comparable in size to the 2500s.

It might even feel a bit bigger due to the flared fenders..it’s a bit of a mind trick that makes the RHO “feel” wider than it is. The ride is comparable to a 2500 over small undulations/bumps, but gets fluffy over big whoops especially in Baja mode. That’s something you can’t say for a 2500.

Nothing will replace that diesel feel & sound…well, an electric will more than replace the feel…but not the sound.
