I'm looking at extended warranty plans to buy after I take delivery. From what I've been told Mopar Max Care is the way to go. Does anyone have experience with them? Another forum (TRX) I follow said they had plans through Ziegler and that is what they used. Thoughts?

I got online pricing through Granger and Ziegler and then took that price to the dealer when I picked up my RHO and they matched the price. Some dealers offer 3rd party warranties and I would avoid those and stick with the Mopar Warranty. If your dealer doesn't carry the Mopar Max Care or won't match the price, just use Granger or Ziegler online. Granger was a bit cheaper for me.

I’d like to know as well. Will be getting some form of it as I always have with my vehicles.

I've never gotten an extended warranty. If I take delivery, considering the troubles being
reported, it might be necessary. And it's a big if at this point.

You have time to get your extended warranty. You have the regular 36 mo./ 36k mile one. You can buy an extended warranty afterward.

I got my max care for my 2019 1500 Limited through Ziegler. Fast and easy getting it online but I will say this, I had the bubbling dash issue on my Limited last month and it was not covered. Dealer is trying to get it repaired under customer satisfaction. We will see. This will be my 4th Ram truck and when I got the 2019 I decided to get the warranty because of the redesign of the new DT. Gives you a piece of mind if you keep your cars more then the standard warranty.

If memory serves me correctly, the longer you do wait the price does get more expensive. But that was a few years back, so it could have changed.

I have purchased the max care plans for my last 2 trucks. I got the unlimited mileage 7 year plans. On both trucks they paid for themselves at least 2 times over, not to mention that it includes a free rental car for the first 100,000 miles. I purchased mine online at https://www.chryslerwarrantys.com. Highly recommend it.

What we use is a company called VERSANT that can be serviced at any accredited svc department, rather than just CDJR dealerships. But pricing is not standardized for me to be able to post up solid #s, instead will be presented by your finance mgr at that time

Mopar Max Care is the only warranty I would purchase. I had a lifetime one on my Durango and never any questions asked...just repaired the vehicle. I also had a Mopar Max Care on my Jaguar and again, never any questions to the Jag dealership, just paid the bills.

My wife bought an aftermarket one for her 2019 Laramie Longhorn and it was absolutely worthless(AC Evap went out and Throttle body(I replaced) and refused both). We cancelled and got what money we could from them.

I repeat, I would NEVER buy an aftermarket regardless of who sells it. I used to work for Mazda Corporate and felt bad for the customers that were sold that stuff.

Thanks for the reply. Great information.

I work for Harley-Davidson. I would always recommend genuine factory warranties 10 out of 10 times vs 3rd party. There are some good ones out there. But you never know. Mopar knows Mopar. Simple. Mark Dodge wouldn’t touch Granger prices. I asked. And I don’t blame them. Little to no profit in it. Here’s Grangers: LINK

Chryslerwarrantys.com is cheaper then Grangers and also offers an unlimited mile warranty.

Can someone explain why Florida isn’t listed on Granger’s site for the warranty?

Is chryslerswarranty.com different from Max Care?

California isn't either and I don't know why.
