Extended Warranty Options?

Does anyone know why Florida is not listed as an option when trying to purchase the extended warranty online? Is there a work around?

The finance manager definitely told she doesn't offer anything other than the Versant. I even said the reason I didn't go through with their warranty is because I would rather have 7-8 years of coverage than their max of 6. You would think she would say "well we do offer Mopar that has up to 8 years of coverage." The sales manager also didn't mention it. Just boggles my mind.
Very odd I wonder if it depends on the state. But I haven't heard any issues like that buying mopar warranty from Granger

Before the new year, they only had ram1500 listed. Jan 1, they price it off of the RAM RHO hence the huge price difference.

I had those prices before also and that was before they acknowledged the RHO model. Unfortunately I didn’t have my truck then to purchase it. Son of a!! The prices skyrocketed now bc of the model designation. I tried to pay for the regular 1500 model and Jackie emailed me saying the price is wrong now. Smh
Jackie also emailed me as I selected the 1500 model, price went up from ~$1,900 to the ~$2,800 after she confirmed the RHO pricing. I was all in on the 1,900 price point, went back and forth on the 2,800 but with the new design I didn't want to gamble as things can add up very quickly.

@AnthonyRI are you able to clarify which extended warranty options you guys are able to offer? Seems there's some confusion or discrepant information out there.
Mark Dodge made the strategic decision to transition fully to the LDS/VERSANT offerings over the past two years, before we offered both MOPAR and LDS. This shift was made with the goal of best meeting the needs of our customers.

Recently, an internal error occurred where an F&I manager inadvertently authorized a MOPAR-branded contract due to a misunderstanding of protocol. This issue has been addressed, and it will not happen again moving forward.

While we respect for the MOPAR brand, our decision to prioritize LDS/VERSANT offerings is rooted in their overall alignment with the needs of our customers. Some of the key advantages include:

  • The ability to service vehicles at any certified automotive technician, not just at a CDJR franchise service center
  • Greater influence and control over the claims process when necessary
  • The ability to offer a more competitive cost-to-coverage ratio, providing our customers with the best value
www.markdodge.net under the “Products” section - you’ll find a general overview. When you meet with your finance manager, they will provide walkthrough including details on mileage, coverage, deductibles, and pricing.

I can’t stress this enough. I don’t care what Mark Dodge/Ram says. ONLY buy factory warranties. I worked for Mazda corporate. The aftermarket will do its damndest not to pay. I can give you a 1000 stories what they do.

We may differ on many things, politics, religion (I’m Christian and conservative) but I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy on an aftermarket warranty.

So if we are buying from MD, how does one obtain a Mopar warranty over Versant/LDS? I assume Mopar/Granger warranty is the best factory warranty available? I don't see RHO as an option under the free quote section??? From what MD states above, they don't offer Mopar and obviously I DON'T want to pay out of pocket for one, I wanted to roll it into my loan. Educate me.

I went with the Mopar 8yr/125K mile Maximum Care.

Yes, it was expensive...

...but so is the truck, so it kinda goes with the territory.
Mopar doesn't list the RHO in their quote section?

I don't know - worked it out with my dealership finance office...
ok so how much was it? TRX pricing is substantially MORE than 1500.

From what I see of your situation, you would need to finance through a bank/credit union/someplace that is not the dealership. When you do, you make sure they give you the extra $$$ in the loan for the extended warranty.

Granger (dealership in Iowa) offers the factory warranty at $25 or $50 over dealer cost. Assuming they treat the RHO similarly to the TRX, it could be anywhere from $2k to $9k, depending on how many miles/months you want and the deductible ($0 or $100 or $200).

Their email is [email protected], ask them about the $25 over cost deal they offer. If you give them a VIN and what you're looking for (even roughly), they can provide quotes.

We have Maxcare on my wife’s 2 Jeeps. They’ve really ticked me off though and I’m not even sure I’ll buy Maxcare on my RHO. I submitted a rental reimbursement claim for a covered repair, it’s been approved but they will not send my money. They keep telling me they don’t know why the check hasn’t been sent and they’ll escalate. It’s been months so I just gave up and I’ll report them to my state’s attorney general’s office.

Who has maxcare in Florida? Which website did you use??

Our Maxcare 8yr/85k mile with $200 deductible was $2705.

I bought the MaxCare 7-year, 125,000-mile, $200-deductible from my dealer when I picked up my truck; it was $5,250. Not sure if it matters, but this was in KY.

Did you select 1500 or TRX? There is no option for RHO, which makes me wonder if it's truly covered at this time.

These are the rates for Mopar Warranty if you select TRX.
