First problem... brake pedal and shifter noise

So it still goes in tomorrow... but no more brake noise after jumping it and charging the battery back up. It's the battery... it's always been the battery... now if we could only figure out what killed it
Yea these battery issues and fix should have already been identified and resolved. Here we are months into production and NOTHING.

ugh... sorry to hear that. Make sure you take the key card out of the truck! I have a feeling this was my issues, I left it in there and I think it drained it. In my personal experience, I deleted the ram app(I'm not sure this was the solution), removed the key card from the truck, and replaced the batteries. no issues since.
Did a dealership replace them for you? Curious what the process was to determine batteries were bad. i.e. they battery tested and found dead cells or it's a service bulletin item that they just took care of for you.

I replaced them myself, this was before Christmas and the earliest a local dealership would see me was December 30th. I didn't want to wait a week only to be told they didn't know what the issue was or had to wait for new batteries. Just went to autozone, a few hundred bucks and I was set. I know it's all warranty, but having a ru Ning truck and not stressing over dealership BS was worth it to me.

I 100% hear that. Worth trying to submit warranty claim to RAM and see if they cover it for you.

I tried to find batteries for it, just in case I have issues on drive back and AutoZone gave me this fun message:

Had the same issue, just took them in and they sized them up, performance on these is actually rated better than the stock Mopar batteries. For the smaller battery you need an etorx socket to remove the studs from the old battery. Here are the two sizes:

Truck is back from the dealership, no found parasitic drain and batteries both tested at 100%. Was told they start a cold weather sequence when it's cold out and the key is detected nearby... which mine may have been doing all night while it was -10 and the key card in the center console. Still leaving the app off my phone and will monitor... has been flawless since charging the batteries, however.

Was the key card left in the vehicle? If yes, that’s your answer.

Deleting Ram app did nothing to improve my battery state of charge while parked.

I notice the truck wakes up when the key fob is near and since mine is close to the garage i got a faraday box. Cheap insurance in case it causes more battery drain. You can also disable this in the settings but I kinda like it

Card was 100% in the truck still!

Well... unfortunately the noise has returned today from the brakes! Checked battery voltage at idle and was showing 14.5... guess we will find out tomorrow if it starts again.

My key card is still in with the book, I believe. So I'll get that out... guess I can uninstall the app as well. Truck still heading in Thursday, hopefully she jumps fine.
Sorry if I sound dumb...I'm still waiting for mine and coming from a 14 sport...what key card are you talking about?

Your RHO will have a credit card looking thing inside of it that can be used basically as a key fob!

My friend got a 1500 Tungsten last week. He's had to jump it 3 times. He's also had some other electrical issues. Currently at the dealer with 200 miles on it.

Nice! Can you post a picture I want to see what it looks like? I didn't know it came with something like that. Sorry again i'm jumping 11 years of tech soon. I love the new tech but feel like i'm so far behind since i've loved my 14 sport and still do but the RHO caught my eye and finally made the leap!

Same. I decided I'm keeping my '16 Big Horn around. She's got 160k on her, but she still runs like a champ and doesn't hardly burn a drop of oil. Thinking about building a stroker Hemi and dropping it in. The truck is all original except for level/tires/wheels, never been in an accident, and the only thing I've had to fix was a couple of those snapped off exhaust bolts on the exhaust manifolds at +/- 90k miles. Great truck!
