Help me decide ... Rebel or RHO

Ok so this was quite the morning LOL Based on this forum I saw in the RHO purchase section that Adam from Jim Glover had deals of 10k off the level 1 RHO's. I figured a phone call can't hurt right?

I called and spoke to Adam who couldn't have been cooler or more friendly by the way. His dealership actually has an allocation for one being built soon. It was basically exactly the build I was looking for. 84K with 10k off and they will drop ship it to a dealer in Freehold NJ which is only 1 hour from my house. I put a deposit on it to scoop up the order and will work out financing sometime in June when it's ready to ship.

I definitely didn't expect to purchase a RAM today but that's exactly what happened lol I am so excited and happy and can't wait to pick up my daughter from school and tell her all about it.

Thank you to everyone that responded and helped. I can't wait to learn more about the trucks and become friends with all the awesome members on this forum!

2025 Silver - Pano roof - level 1

I think I’m the odd one out but I decided to get a level 0 rho over the loaded rebel. I preferred the huge suspension and engine upgrades over some of the interior bells and whistles. I do miss pano roof and wish I could have optioned 360 cams but honestly the level 0 is still very nice and fantastic value when compared to other offerings. I also thought parking would be horrible as I live in downtown Denver and I’m not saying it isn’t, but I also don’t think it’s much worse than a rebel. Where you open the door and get out is the same width as the rebel. Just the hips are wider.

Here is my advice. Get the RHO with Level 1 from Mark Dodge and have all the things you want for the price of your Rebel build. A Rebel is never going to make you smile like a RHO. Life is short. Enjoy it to the max. Good luck! Report back when you have placed your order.
I would have went with an RHO, but at the time with MD once you start compairing apples to apples the pricing on Rebel just didnt make sense to me. It was less than 8k difference in price and you had a standard output engine, less high end interior, not a long travel suspension truck. If I could have saved 15-20k less than RHO I may have went that route. But for me I think the RHO was a better value. After driving both I believe I made the right decision and the fuel economy on the Rebel was not much better than the RHO.

With that being said I love the Rebel and would for sure be happy with one...but we go to the dunes a lot and off road our trucks...long travel suspension is king in that area.

I don't think that's weird at all. Even if it's the same price i'd prefer the RHO motor / wide body / suspension to the rebel that has the roof and cooled seats. Plus I read that you can still add the ventilated seats later down the road if you swap seats with a truck that has them. I think the rho still has the software to run them.

Happy to hear (read) that you went with your gut. I don't think you'll regret your decision for a minute once you actually take delivery and drive the thing. It's even different than taking the standard test drive. For me....I've had mine for about 4 days now (today is day 2 of commuting) and I've found myself looking for excuses to go drive it because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!!! And over the course of the last week and a half since I joined the forum I've read the same thing from other owners quite a few times. And having previously owned 3 Rams myself the choice was pretty easy (especially given my circumstances). Looking forward to seeing your post when you take delivery!

Thanks man. Yea I'm so excited. Had a hard time falling asleep last night. This is my wrangler 392 the Ram will be replacing. It was an amazing vehicle. The RHO has some big shoes to fill but I think I'll like it even more over time!

My wife has a wrangler willys 2.0 turbo. So I'll still have a wrangler in the family. I noticed I kept borrowing my friends F150 to do some things so I just thought maybe get your own pickup. Always loved RAMS and love turbo cars.. I had a GTR so it reminded me of a ram with a gtr engine lol had to have it.

Plus there's some things as a jeep owner that you just accept. The 392 gets awful gas mileage and only has a 21 gallon fuel tank. Constantly stopping for fuel. It's also a box so it's really bad driving on the highway when it's windy. It's noisy inside and doesn't have the best ride quality.

It's just time for something new. Hoping the RHO is my new baby 😁

What...you don't like deathwobble?

Makes perfect sense! An old neighbor had a CJ-5 and I drove it a few times and loved it but I can see all the concerns too.

It’s like my MX-5. It’s great as a commuter and awesome to hit the curves, but it’s nothing you can take for any longer than a weekend trip because the trunk is so small lol

Yea the Miata is a canyon carver for sure. I have had many supercharged vettes, camaros , trans ams, and a 1000hp GTR and I don't know. I kind of prefer my Jeep lol I hope the RHO is everything I think it will be and more.

Over a 1000hp GTR? Um.....different beast. Certainly some things you can do in the RHO that you can't in the GTR.....but.....that's a LOTTA motor!!!

lol Yea much different animals. The GTR was just a weekend car but it really wasn't any fun unless you were breaking the law lol It's too fast for the streets and there were no good drag tracks within a reasonable distance for me. It was fun for a while though and my daughter loved it. Here is it

My RHO I ordered is also without Level 1. I am just not for all those extras it has especially the passenger entertainment. Interior is the same leather package just without carbon fiber (not a fan of that either). But hey that is what makes us have our own truck to what we like.

Hi guys,

I have a rebel build in my head and comes out to around 73k

I know a base RHO is around that price BUT I would lose some options I really wanted like the pano roof and the ventilated front seats / rear heated seats (i promised those to my daughter lol)

I did see there is a really good dealer on here who is offering some great incentives. Essentially 10k off level 1 which would then put me around the same price as the rebel.

My only concern is the extra width of the RHO - this will be my daily and I do have road meetings for work sometimes so parking could be an issue.

What do you guys think? I plan to keep the truck long term so I don't want to get the rebel and then say I SHOUL HAVE....

Thanks everyone :)
RHO all day, get it Mark Dodge, 10k off, you will get all the options you want and still be around 75 to 76k. Parking is easy

I went Rebel to "base" RHO. I don't regret not getting the L1 one bit, you'll love it.
