Now that more and more of us are "in production" how exact are the estimated delivery dates given on Ram's Order status? For example i went into Production on 13 Dec and my estimated delivery is 7 Mar 2025. Can some of you that might have recently passed "in production" give an example of some time frames that you then moved to "Vehicle Built" and "Shipped"? DEC to MARCH just seems like long time but maybe its just the time that it sits waiting on shipping is why they estimate it at 4 months or so.

From what I've seen here, the delivery date you get at production status is completely made up. Once it gets to shipped it'll change and those seem to be reasonably close.

I'm sure there are outliers, but this is what I've gathered from stalking this forum.

ok, pretty much what i thought. I mean once these trucks are on the line, i can't image they take that long from start to finish. Appreciate the sanity check!

They take almost no time to build. But then it's a crap shoot. Mines been built over a month but stuck in Inspection status. After that you gotta go to the body vendor and some guys have been stuck there over a month. And then you are waiting to be shipped, which again sometimes takes a month.

But then you see guys who order 5 months after you and have their trucks already. It's a complete guess.

Mine was built quickly in October then literally nothing been at the body vendor for a at least 2-3 weeks. Asked dealer for an update was told to be patient and stick with the 4-6 month initial estimate. That’s fine but it shouldn’t take that long to be at the body vendor and they should have a schedule. Plus other guys are getting their trucks built later and getting them sooner. It’s a very very poor experience. If I was one of the really early orders I would have cancelled the order and sworn off the company forever. This is my 5th ram but will be last due to this experience.

Rob Trachtman from Tuttle-Click RAM explained that once a shell clears paint as "ready for assembly," it takes around 24 hours to complete the build process. He said they run 24 hours a day.

In production mine updated to Feb. 2nd. It then updated to Dec. 17th when shipped. I picked the truck up on Dec. 7th

Mine truck was shipped Dec. 4th with estimated date of 16th. Well on the 15th the estimated date changed to 28th. The factory is only 5 hours from the dealer.

At production completion my changed to 12/30, doesn't show shipped but dealer emailed me that I should have it in 7-10 business days, so should be close to 12/30.

My Estimated Delivery Date has only decreased since I moved to shipped status.

It was Feb 17th, then Feb 16th, and now it's Jan 6th...

Mine was built in 2 weeks and was shipped December 12th but the delivery shows TBD.

Shipping and delivery dates are a swag, at best. Currently, my truck is in a holding area in Pearland TX, 2hrs away from my dealership (Mark Dodge in LA). Truck was shipped on November 29th and arrived at a holding area on December 10th. My original delivery date was December 24th, but that changed to TBD. My assumption is, I will have to wait for my truck until January due to the holiday season.

Someone else said they had trouble starting truck at the port to load on truck for dealer. Battery was dead similar to what others were experiencing. Hope that’s not your issue but with the huge delay it seems possible.

Thats mine, apparently, they have to wait for the Ram rep to work with port allen to get batteries replaced before they can get it loaded up and get it to MD. It got to the port 11/30 and has been sitting there since. Last I heard no ETA and most likely next year.

I've read the same. I wouldn't doubt that's the issue. I'll ask for a new battery prior to finalizing the deal.

Smart! I’ve read that there are two batteries that might need replacing. Let us know how that goes, please.

I don't understand why they go to a holding area. Some people have already got theirs. ???
