Hurricane "CAT X"

Give this a search. I'm wondering what the difference in the CAT 3 (Hurrican HO) and the CAT X will be internally, and if there would even be the possibility to upgrade to it. Probably not, as I think I read it is for off-road use. Never the less, I'm tired of all the interest in V8 continuation and bitching about the sound of the straight 6. "oh, I just gotta have that V8 sound" Pffft. A straight six that "easily" holds 1000hp would help silence some more of the V8 bumpkins. Drivetrain/trans would be yet another issue. I wonder when Hennessy gets a hold of an RHO, what direction they will go.

What it Ram offers a factory ECM & TCM tune with the performance of the JB4? What if they called it a Cat5 tune?

Ford ranger raptor got a dealer tune option adding 50hp+ for $900 and it doesn’t void warranty. Wish ram would do something like that.

With rho being so much faster then regular raptor and then saying trx is not gone I don't see them offering anything like that.

I don’t think it would take much from TRX sales if they keep the hellcat or do a hybrid hurricane with stronger trans, the v8 guys still want a v8 and those of us who are ok having the i6 for daily use are happy with the i6, i think the revenue from the tune would help them out a bit for sure.

Agreed. Ram would be smart to offer something similar.

I believe the v8 will return for TRX. They aren’t in a good financial position to spend billions and years to develop a new v8 for now. Maybe in 6 or 8 years. They also wont release an i6 that will compete with trx space especially considering the price differential between RHO and TRX.
