What's new

I have a a scheduled date!

@AnthonyRI do you know if any base models have made it to production yet?
None since October 1st which i think is the ones that got stuck their waiting for their top secret Level 0 component that wasn't ready yet

EDIT - To be clear ANYTHING I am posting about data points are going to be for MARK DODGE orders only unless otherwise specified.

There has to be some issue that effects L0 trucks vs. L1 trucks, it's the only thing that makes sense.

My guess is something with the cabin electrical system...

Yes we were told explicitly exactly that there was a delay on L0 trucks. But we were not told what that was.

Just heard from my dealer (in Alabama) that my truck is in Tennessee waiting on a truck to bring it to the dealership. They expect to have it next week!

Could you folks with delivery dates, please post your order date so we can judge the wait time?

Thanks!!

I agree.

But you would think the trim with less content (L0) could more easily be produced than the trim with more (L1)?

But what do I know...?

Apparently Tim is talking to Ram CEO today or posting a vid today about a recent convo with her. From his video yesterday, it sounded like he was going to ask about this dilemma we are all seeing. Hopefully we hear some useful info

Hopefully so. Increase profits is interesting take. Like the plant starts building those 9 that went to e-shop then they get told to stop because they would rather get the profit from the l1’s. Really hope not. But it’s also hard to see what could be a supply chain delay when they have everything for the more complicated truck.

I can’t believe a company with a 15 billion dollar annual revenue would be concerned with 90k in sales from level 1 package upgrades. I think the theories that get thrown around this site are sometimes pretty wild. Not having the correct supplies to build a truck in a time where there is consistent supply chain issues makes more sense to why those trucks were changed

It all comes down to top dog Bonuses most the time. Would you be upset if your Bonus was only like 5 billion instead of 6 billion for the year! How would you live. It amazes me when you see all this doom and gloom with a company and the nightmare the consumers go through... then they post the bonus of the upper management.

Could be less profit per vehicle for a company desperately seeking to increase Q4 profits.
Possibility for sure. They may also prefer to have the loaded trucks out there being reviewed, videos/photos posted, and compared to the Raptor instead of the base model.

The thing that sucks is that the longer it takes, the more time I have to explore other options. I test drove a 1500 longhorn today with the SST HO, just to get a feel for what I might be getting into with my Rho. Forged blue. That HO HURRICANE really moves. But also test drove a 2500 Rebel with the Cummins. Wouldn’t get the longhorn. But seriously considering the diesel. Always just like the robustness of a diesel, the rebel has a good stance, and the Cummins has got some go in it. Will fit 35’s And I generally feel that I kind trust the Cummins right off the bat, plus dealer incentives right now put it right at the RHO price point. I’m still a little hesitant on the reliability of the hurricane. I like to disappear on remote mountain and can’t afford to have a breakdown. But anyway. Long thread. But maybe just need a little reassurance from the group that it’s worth the holdout for the RHO.
