THIS is part of the reason many can’t get their trucks fixed. Hoping it will get better.

So far, my Ram service experiences have been terrible. Very poor parts availability. Techs doing their best, but not having the right tools/information.

The other part of the problem was prior leadership who insisted all vehicles produced had a double digit percent profit. It drove suppliers to the brink & cut staffing on production lines.

Need proof? Look at the worn e-coat on your RHO frame behind the front sway bar mounts. There used to be a guy on the production line that fixed that corrosion prone area (look under any TRX). But, I guess if a critical section of frame eventually rusts out on the RHO, it will be outside the warrantee period, right?

Hoping it gets better with the new leadership.

I remember you touching those areas up. What product did you use to do this? Thanks

There was an awesome spray primer (U-POL-black), specific to targeting bare metal that was key. It was sandable & sprayed on thick without runs.

Beyond that, it came down to carefully masking at weld lines & sanding the rust off. After 2 coats of sandable, rust preventing primer, you could spray just about any protective enamel to make it cosmetically acceptable.
