JANUARY order updates!

Nope not better.. this is my 3rd RHO order. I originally ordered in May.. second order came in December and engine hydrolocked at 49 miles so dealer bought it back and I reordered this one in January lol
Dan G, I can only feel a 1/3 of your pain. I read your shitshow back in Dec and all I have to say is wtf Stellantis.

I just received my truck this morning and all I can say is stop looking at the Ram tracker, but we all know we can’t stop. It will never be accurate and only drive you nuts. Ram logistics are F’ed. The info I received from my dealership was helpful, but minimal and it’s not their fault. I did my own “google maps” homework when I was given projected rail station arrival dates. That made the anticipation worse. By the way, the Ram tracker still shows April 10th as my delivery date, which updated today after I picked the truck up. It was the 14th as of yesterday… but it was already delivered to the dealership by then. Like I said, the Ram tracker is shit.

Here are the dates I was given throughout this process.
Ordered: July 26th
Scheduled: Jan 10th
In Production: Jan 28th
Vehicle Built: Jan 31st
Arrived at body vendor: Feb 3rd
Dealership delivery date estimated: Feb 20-28
Sold my car: Feb 23rd
Delivery status went back to TBD on March 3rd
Sat for 22 days (rail station in Toledo then sent to a storage lot in MI then back to the Toledo station)
March 21st tracker said it shipped, but it didn’t
March 25th it shipped and the dealership gave me a April 3-15th delivery window
Dealership updated delivery to April 1st then it was pushed back to the 5th
April 4th it arrived in CO and was picked up and delivered to the dealership the same day
I drove it off the lot April 5th

Is it worth the wait… yes, but I will never order another vehicle again. The truck is impressive inside and the I-6 is quick. The acceleration surprised me and I haven’t been able to open it up yet. Keep in mind I had a Jeep GC SRT and this truck does not disappoint.

So my wait ended today. I got this from Dave Smith Motors. This is not the truck I ordered. I ordered a base with a couple options in forged blue from Dishman. I originally wanted the hydro blue but was told couldn’t order it unless I got the level 1. The dealer only gave me a few grand off my level 0. Turns out Dave Smith had a few people back out of orders and the ones they got delivered were under the same price scale as Mark Dodge. I got the color I wanted with the huge discount and all the options for the same price as my mildly discounted base order that was still supposedly on the train for the past month. Im so happy with how this worked out.

How are you able yo get so many updates? Mine says shipped 3/27 and delivery is just TBD. Can you call Stellantis for an update?

When to walk away?....my 2014 Ram Sport is still working fine 83k miles and my order has been a nightmare and no answers why its sitting built for a month and a half. Been listening to saleman, managers and ram give no answer or I'll get back to you for too long now. If it left soon I'm sure it will be at least a month to get here and put on the rest of the accessories I did with the dealer.
I'm not panicking about the economy like so many right now but with the bad taste in my mouth how this truck doesn't feel right anymore and mine is still ok should I just keep my money and walk away and see if I can get my deposit back or some of it at least?
I'm thinking about texting the salesperson or email them about options giving them another week to just get me an answer wtf is happening. I'm willing to wait longer if I just get more transparency and also understanding they aren't making it and are caught in the middle.
Any suggestions? I heard some say push your dealer but what can they really do there's so many orders out there.

My dealer gave me the updates. She checked her internal tracker daily and would text me the updates along with status codes. When it was loaded on the train she gave me train stop locations along with the dates.

Yeah I know it’s worth the wait, I got a taste of it for the few hours I owned it 😂. I’m here in Colorado as well. What dealer did you end up going to with?

I'm in a similar boat and thinking of calling up the dealership and asking to refund my deposit. I'd feel better about things if they could give me any sort of update but my dealer is the exact opposite of proactive. Seeing other trucks start production after mine and reach their owners while mine has been stuck in Paint status since Feb 19 is starting to make me worry they found an issue.

I already sold my 2019 Rebel for the best offer I got and being stuck without a vehicle for a few weeks now is starting to get old.

Ik I just removed my ad selling my Sport. Hate to come on here to complain but this is getting ridiculous.

After sitting in the railyard in OKC for 2 weeks, it is now sitting at a dealership nearby...not my dealership mind you, some random dealership. No update as to what's going, no information as to why it's there instead of my dealership. We are now 20 days past my delivery date. I'm about over this effin clown show.

I got a status update. It's now showing shipped.

For those that have watched your tracker closely, do you recall your Estimated Delivery Date prior to showing shipped and then what the Estimated Delivery Date went to after being shipped? Prior to it showing Shipped, my estimated Delivery Date updated to 4/16 a few days ago. Now that it's shipped it changed the estimated delivery date to TBD. Just curious what others experienced before.

Glad to see yours went shipped now.

Mine has finally updated to shipped on 3/9. Mine has been sitting for 32 days. He was able to look into my truck and saw this it was all ready to go. Didn’t say why it was sitting but as of 3/9, it’s been updated to shipped. That friend of a friend is a Godsend. I don’t know what he did or who he spoke to but she’s finally on the way!
I was able to reach out to a friend of a friend who works at the Sterling plant. Passed along my VIN and says hopefully I can get some answers tomorrow as to why mine is just sitting. Here’s hoping 🤞
