There’s controls inside the truck in the door I believe to slide those mirrors in and out, so you might have a blank or hole if you delete it

It’s possible but it’s more work than a simple mirror swap because there’s an additional button that’s wired inside the truck for you to be able to slide them out when towing plus the second control button to adjust wide angle mirror too.

Any idea how easy the swap is to do?

I have no ETA just recently moved to scheduled, seems like a lot of parts to swap. I need to look at some at local dealer and make a decision to either keep or reorder. I tried to change back in June but no luck in getting my dealer to request a change.
