Hi all,
I'm over on 5thGenRams as well as I'm looking at either a Limited Night with ORP in black or a black RHO. RHO ticks most of the boxes... except towing. I plan to tow car haulers with total weight around 7000lbs once a month or so over 100 miles and back. Maybe an airstream once or twice a year. Most of the reasons for a truck is the bed and rack system (plan on Diamondback HD with Yakima Overhaul HD Racks and Molle) for utility and camping... and just driving fun as a daily.
I've been trying to find out more, but I ran across this quote from the Gear Junkie article on the RHO:
"The RHO should also be a better towing truck, as it has a 3.92 final drive ratio (versus TRX’s 2.55), a 205K torque converter with a higher stall speed (now around 4K rpm), and now has a unique suspension tune for the Tow drive mode. It also has a slightly larger towing capacity, up to 8,380 pounds."
What is the Tow Drive Mode? Will it compensate for the Squat in the TRX and Raptors? Where I live (Northern Cali) roads suck, there are hills and mountains to where I need to tow to, so I'm curious what this tow mode entails.
Did you guys hear anything about this?
