Anybody know of any companies making/designing one?

With the early issues some have seen with this engine, I’d be really cautious about installing anything aftermarket on it.

Warranty denied!

Also, some recent experiments have shown frequent oil changes with top tier oils are best for keeping intake runners clean.

With the Hurricane, it might be good to see how dirty the intake runners get over time. If the pressures are well-balanced, it might not be bad. Though with 28psi boost, it will likely need something.

BMW’s current I6 (Hurricane is very similar to their M version) is BEST kept clean with a special dealer service every 40K-60K miles (less expensive than a good catch can). Let’s face it…BMW knows their turbo I6 best & they know their clients typically will pay to keep it running right. Hoping Ram service will have something similar in the near future.

I was offered a factory developed throttle body cleaning and intake runner cleaning at 40K miles on my M50i. Two separate services. Both were right around $600.

OCCs are super easy to remove, not worried about a warranty with one of these

It does not void the warranty, already have asked dealerships about it….why would it??

I will say this…I asked my Ram dealer (GM and Svc Mgr) to sign a letter stating it would not void my TRX warranty. Both said they would not due to liability reasons. In other words, most likely will depend on your dealership personnel.

It can change the pressure in your crankcase outside what the engineers intended for seals & gaskets.

The best catch cans have by-pass valves and are carefully engineered to work with a specific engine. Those are $$. And, Hurricane HO is so new & exists in limited numbers.

I’d rather address the issue at regular service intervals using processes (eventually) put in place by the engineers who are most familiar with the SST HO.
