If the Black Trim (Piano Molding is what I've heard it called) on the B-Pillars is as soft a plastic as it is on most Ford B-Pillars, you should have them PPF-ed ASAP to avoid scratches.

Since it's not a high impact area, I'm going to wrap them with a similar black wrap.

EDIT: *Might do a Carbon Wrap here...

When I had my PPF put on (Xpel Ultimate Plus) they said they couldn’t do the pillars because it wouldn’t stick. They ceramic coated them instead. Just FYI, might be different depending on the PLF you use

Okay

If it won't stick, then the material is different than for the Ford B-Pillars. The Fords are usually a soft, gloss plastic. Sticking isn't an issue.

The ones on my Fusion are FUBAR-ed. This is why I had my wife's 2023 Expedition pillars wrapped days after she got it...

The B-pillar moldings on the TRX are a slightly rough plastic - PPF would never stick. They're pretty tough - I haven't scratched them a bit, after 3 years and 43k miles.

The fender flares, on the other hand....woof! Don't breathe heavily near them or they'll scratch.

WOW!

That's totally Bass-Ackwards... LOL!

Here’s a picture where you can see how matte the B pillar moldings are.

And just to beat a dead horse, here’s a closeup I just took. One of my truck (couple of fingerprints is all), the other of my wife’s Lincoln Navigator (mini scratches everywhere).

Can the flares and bumper/grill be wrapped or is there too much texture?

Assuming the flares are the same as the TRX, you can’t wrap those. Most people that have done something on them have either painted them or used bedliner spray

EWW.. Bedliner sounds worse than scratches...

I'll ceramic them and hope for the best, and replace them if I must.
