RAM is not honoring the $500 Military Discount for RHO

A few years ago during covid when I was looking at a Rubicon and negotiating price I was told nothing below MSRP. There was a table tent on the sales reps desk advertising $1000 off for first responders. I said I should at least get that and was told being sold at MSRP was a discount. Yeah they don't really seem to care.

I served active duty and am now a 100% disabled veteran and all of this hand-out, gimme gimme crap from veterans makes me cringe.

I mean sure, you served, good on you(!). That was your choice but nobody owes us shit, especially a damn discount on anything

Go eat your Applebees on 11/11 and get your Lowes parking and 10% discount and be on your way.
Thank you for your sacrifice. All the best to you.

Sorry that is not the case, there is a difference between a dealer discount, and a rebate from RAM.
It is not up to the dealership on if they can use rebates or not, everything has to get validated by RAM.
If you go to the software to generate the available rebates, which is required for the dealership to get paid - you cannot get the Military, first responder, or affiliate to show up on an RHO VIN.

If a dealer is saying yes they will, they are either mistaken and haven't looked yet OR they are just going to expand their dealer discount.

I've been checking various Ram dealers and some seem to be offering it and some don't. Koons in Virginia for example is still showing the Military discount on their Ram trucks. Maybe it's expired and they're just eating the $500 for the PR benefit, who knows.
For the RHO specifically it is not and was never offered.
All other RAMS it is good.

Didn't you read this thread? There's a salty guy here about Veterans looking for that discount. Don't ask about it. :D
