Yeah…I lived in San Antonio for several years & owned a Ram R/T that attracted lots of attention from our friends who came from over the boarder…mostly good attention. If you have ever been in this situation your foot hits the gas pedal before you can even blink sorry just my experience
THIS is a true story:
I needed something from a local pharmacy…this place had an odd parking lot, as it was connected to a strip mall & to enter the pharmacy from the main highway, you had to drive through the strip mall.
As I entered the strip mall, an old sedan that was already in the parking lot pulled up close behind me…the most often used path of travel took vehicles across a narrow strip of pavement that led to the pharmacy side, or you could go straight but it was a longer trip…as I began to turn into the narrow strip, an old large pickup going the other way pulled across the roadway & stopped…I noticed lots of “over the boarder” occupants, so I swerved back into the strip mall & floored it. Nobody followed, so I figured it was all my imagination.
Upon entering the pharmacy, I told the cashier was had happened & she asked if I had come from the strip mall side. Apparently, there had been 3 carjackings in that area in the last month…all newer pickups!
I’m no longer in SA, but RHO does seem to be an envy target. Keep that in mind & best not to engage. Just not worth it.
