Tint Going On

Just had mine done. Went as dark as legal in NC on the front and an additional layer on back and rear. $290 out the door.

Just had mine done yesterday, all ceramic. Clear on windshield, with 15% brow, clear on sunroof, 15% on front and 5% on back and rear. Will only ever go ceramic, it’s a necessity in west TX.

 

[Cautionary Tale]

I’d ask to see a sample of the tint before you make a decision. Had ceramic installed on my TRX’ fronts and it didn’t match the factory rears. It wasn’t even close. Had it removed. Ended up going with a different brand and carbon to get the closest match.

What Brand and model of Nano-Ceramic did you go with? I can't see there being a difference unless you got something with metallic or a color shading in it. What brand/model color did you end up with? Super curious, but results look great to my eyes.

Do the pokeys care about tint in NC? In AZ we go as dark as possible because the way the sun is and coppers don't bother unless the vehicle fits the rest of profile they are going after.

Same here except in LA.

I'm out in the desert sticks of San Bernardino County (about 100 miles from LA).

The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department doesn't usually bother us, but CHiPs will..

It's not that as much as in NC they test it when you have your inspection done and if it is too dark they will fail your vehicle. Ways around it but I'm not worrying with the hassle and keep it legal.

Thats intense. Here they just charge insane registration fees as a fun extra tax

Not a good pic, but got our PPF, 20% sides and 70% front windshield . Very happy with it!! My wife wanted darker windshield but my old man eyes no likey
