Will there be any performance mods?

Yeah, I wouldn’t put the hurricane in the same tier as a 2jz. But I think if the hurricane gets sleeved and forged internals, it should be able to hit 700-800 rwhp reliably.

Well, when you go that far as to adding sleeves, then a lot of engines can be considered to be in the same realm of the 2JZ/RB26.

The closest engine that's similar to the 2JZ/RB26 would be the B58/S58

I wouldn't go that far. It's an aluminum block with Plasma Transfer Wire Arc (PTWA) sprayed cylinder coating. The 2jz was an iron block.
I think the aluminum vs steel block is a moot point, however I do wonder the strength differences are with the PTW vs Sleeves...however the solid top block has cross-bolted steel mains and a forged crank and forged steel rods and pistons. So I do think there is some serious potential :)

I spoke with the guys over at Burger Motorsports today regarding the JB4 for the HO motor. They are waiting to test on the RHO and the Tungsten until the trucks are in production. They expect that the unit they produced for the SO motor will need a few tweaks and would likely be ready fairly quickly after release date. They also think that their unit for the Grand Wagoneer should work just fine, but won't guarantee it until they test for sure. With that said, they are expecting about 104 HP at the wheel gains. That would put us at 644 HP, just a chip shot from the TRX. Would be interesting if downpipes or another mod would get us even closer.

Did they say how more boost it's pushing? They have to be pushing over 30psi to get those 100+who. I don't know how comfortable I'd be with that kind of boost on a new untested engine.

I say 30+psi because of the types of maps they ran on the B58. Here's a breakdown of the maps.

Map2: Additive map with peak of 4psi over stock added (91-93 octane)
Map3: Additive map with peak of 6psi over stock added (93+ octane)
Map4: Absolute target map with peak of 20psi target (93+ and/or E30 octane) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.
