Window Tint

I used to be a regular tint guy until I switched to ceramic tint. Ceramic tint made lots of difference, especially I park my vehicles outside. I'm sure you will love it.
All of my vehicles have ceramic and won’t ever go back to regular. The amount of heat that’s blocked is amazing! 3M Ceramic IR is the version I have.

I always do 45% or 55% ceramic on my windshields
Same here.. but I was wondering if anyone did it on RHO. I ask because with the older ram there was a module by the driver side and If you don't cover it up it will end up frying the module.

Don't have mine yet but yes on my TRX if that helps.

I just had mine done last week. The windshield had to be cut by hand because the new module with all the electronics was not in the cutting machines database. No biggie, a good shop should be do it without issue. They should also use a “wick” at the base of the windshield to absorb any water and prevent it from going in the electronics in the dash.

Anyone know what the factory tint percentage is on front / back ?
Key points about Ram Rho factory tint:
  • Tint level: Usually falls within the 15-20% range, offering a balance between privacy and visibility.

Ceramic tint is definitely worth the price if you live in warmer climate. Doing windshield is a must. A nearly clear ceramic tint will still give you the heat rejection properties.
Some ceramic tints will give of a potentially unwanted hue in the vehicle depending on the brand. For example, the top tier EXPEL is said to have a blueish tint, but I didn't notice so much on my Power Wagon.
It will always be my first upgrade from now on.

Anyone in Colorado who can chime in opinion on ceramic? I had it in Alabama and it was great but Colorado we obviously have hot summers and cold winters. Don’t want to make my car even colder in the winter. Thoughts?

100% do it on every single vehicle and it makes a massive difference (during all CO seasons). I tint my windshield lightly as well which is a game changer.

Ps - won’t make your car colder in winter ha! Turn on your heater bro. Helps with the 300 days of sun.

Cool thanks for input. I was just thinking if sun was out in winter ceramic would stop it from warming it up lol. Guess will also have remote start now which should be game changer for cold days. I don’t have that now. Will be doing it then. I didn’t do it on my current car and the massive heat changes caused my infotainment screen to start delaminating from the back plate after 4 years.

I mean technically speaking it will block the sun from warming the truck less, but it’s worth it for sun and to block heat if you’re driving up to the mountains on a winter day. I wouldn’t ever not do ceramic here.

Ceramic is 100% recommended in CO. I have been doing this years and won't go back, and I agree with @Rho5280, you will not notice the difference in the winter. Remote start works great.

Thanks for both the inputs! Will def add this to my list to do once I ever get it lol

My eyes are fried from all my years on an Air Force flightline in sunny Tucson, AZ.

My wife has the 70% "Tintless" ceramic on her windshield. I notice an immediate difference between driving her Limited Expedition and my Fusion.

The reduction in the glare is noticeable.

That would be really nice because glare kills my eyes and is what makes driving at night hard too.
