To be honest, I'm amazed they didn't just name this truck the TRX again to avoid the harnesses, hard goods and so on having "TRX" on them..

I'm not. See Raptor and Raptor R. Why waste a good name like TRX when you can use it later with say the supercharged V8 and ask a very premium price for it?

It’s not an isolated issue. Ram is aware and they are working on a software patch.

yeah likely a marketing thing for when they release the catx or supercharged "trx" in a few years if that comes to fruition. That would be my thoughts. if they never come out with a catx/supercharged truck then the RHO is the replacement and should have stuck with TRX namesake haha. i guess we will see! Thanks for the great content man.

So after watching Truck King's video on the Rebel, he puts it on a lift, you can see we actually get even more protection underneath. The rebel doesn't get the connection piece from the bumper to the control arms and it doesn't get the massive triple bar piece.

Good thing we get that bumper piece, if you look at the rebel it's gonna be a pain to clean that crossmember with the holes in it.

Pinckney is only a few towns over from me. Glad to have some local RHO buddies. Just need mine delivered now

Its nearly an identical truck, chassis wise, and they share 99.9% of the same components. when they designed the molds for the 21 TRX cast parts, they didnt know the RHO would be a thing in 2025. Doesnt make sense to spend millions to completely remake millions of dollars of molds to change 3 letters when the part functions identically. These molds are outsourced to mold making machine shops, take months to make, and cost a pretty penny. To be honest, I'm amazed they didn't just name this truck the TRX again to avoid the harnesses, hard goods and so on having "TRX" on them..

99.9% but they couldn't give us the damn trx transmission what a shame. I def would modify my Rho but too chicken to risk it

For sure...same thing Ford did when they went Raptor to Raptor R...they reused same muffler and muffler valves from V6 and put it in a V8 truck!

They reused the whole truck for the Raptor R. Very similar to what RAM has done except in reverse order.

Was fantastic the dealer/shop gave you that much "access" to the process and allowed you to record and share !!! I could see the tech thinking "Man i got no clue where to get started here, do I really want this to be recorded". Thanks for sharing and taking the time to review/record and produce for us.

We talked it all over before I went back there to make sure it was good before recording. In fact they wanted me to do this to showcase how good they are to work with. I will have more on this in the next video!
