2026 Ram Rho

The secretary of commerce was just on the news earlier today saying that tariffs deals with canada and Mexico could be announced as early as tomorrow. Anyone who doesn't realize these tariffs are a negotiating tool is sorely misinformed or is suffering from tds... stop the illegal immigrants, stop the drugs, stop the child s trafficking. I would gladly pay a little extra for these things to be accomplished by the way...
And yes many jobs are understaffed and looking for help, that does not mean we need a third world work force imported here...

Not every dealer is mark Dodge to say they can swallow 10k loss on this then it's fine. To take such hits you gotta be pushing quantity to make profit.

I do think that at some price point, the volume falls off though - people may only be willing to pay $x for a truck like this. Also, it seems like if this is truly a major cost for the US automakers, those costs are going to work their way into the price of the vehicle very quickly - and price increases have to be coming soon.

But, as soon as TK's 35% MSRP reductions happen, we will be net ahead! :)
That happens with every vehicle ever made. Also TK is a clickbaiting moron

I’ve read studies where things like a seat belt, for example, cross the border up to 9 times. CBT has a video showing how a piston crosses the border 4 times.

The price increase on the truck is meaningless really. It is all about the parts. Several suppliers have said they will close rather than impose the tariff.

Also, the tariffs on Canadian steel is going to impact automotive.

I said, in my video on it, my advice is to buy now. With so much uncertainty for the future, it is easy to see this is going to be the biggest disruption since COVID. We are still working on the supply chain from the disruption.
I have heard the argument that tariffs are a negotiating tool. If everyone knows you are just using it as a negotiating tool, how can it be a good negotiating tool? At that point it's just bluster.

This will all be interesting if nothing else. I looked at my RHO window sticker and 39% of the truck's content is from Mexico. It doesn't distinguish between the US and Canada, but we know some is coming from there as well. The flip side is if you look at the predictions, the consensus is that the tariffs will likely be in place for a brief period of time - some say as little as two weeks for Canada and Mexico. Time will tell . . . but glad I locked in the price of my truck!

Just remember don’t mess with the Trumpinator!! ;)

Mark Dodge Ram has a unique business model they adapted into during the covid crap. They get paid by Ram for selling quantity and they sell more RHO's than anyone. I think I heard my sales guy say they were allotted 600 this year.

I didn’t know about Mark Dodge, wish I did. I kinda fell into a local deal while I was shopping for my wife while my rebel was in service. I was thinking about a new rebel, but someone ordered a RHO and walked away. I paid $3500 more than MD (I asked them). It would have cost $1k to ship, so a $2k over pay and no waiting. I’m OK with it, I LOVE THE RHO. Now I’m still on the hook for a new Grand Wagoneer for my bride, but MD said they would do similar like deal but the GW, but doesn’t have as much $$ to work with. MD for my 2030 RHO, LOL!
